Tucked away in the midst of a nature reserve, we have some rare last minute availability at LlanYCoed Cottage until the end of the month.
Perfect as a romantic bolt hole, or an escape with friends, sleeping four in two bedrooms with stunning views across the hills, you can't help but slip into deep relaxation during your stay.
So here's the low down:
WHERE IS IT: Just outside Hay on Wye, technically it's in England, but all the Welsh hills are right there for exploring.
WHAT TO DO: Bird spotters paradise! Owners are keen riders, so can advise on great pony treks and cycle rides from the door. Superb walking, Hay on Wye is world famous for its books and the annual Hay Festival, so there are great places to eat nearby and some decent shopping too. Not forgetting the Brecon Beacons National Park, Black Mountains and River Wye, so heaps to tire you out!
WHO CAN STAY: Great for kids, pets welcome, seriously romantic too.
WHY SHOULD WE GO: It's just £550 for 3-7 nights from either 18th or 25th May, so a great discount on the normal rate.
WHAT ELSE ; It has an open fire / lovely oil fired range cooker, pretty private garden, really large downstairs area and the owners can even help you with the cooking - providing home made food for a small extra fee.
