Offering light, welcoming and cosy accommodation for four guests, this relaxing holiday cottage is set in a lovely spot near the mouth of the Dyfi Estuary as it flows into the sea.
Settle down to a comfortable stay in beautiful Wales at this gorgeous cottage in the coastal village of Aberdyfi. Sleeping four people, the two-bedroom hideaway could be perfect for a small family wanting to be within less than 250 metres of the sandy beach and nestled in the southern fringes of the picturesque Snowdonia National Park. Spend days paddling, swimming or picnicking on the beach or head off to magical Welsh beauty spots or enticing family attractions.
Let yourselves into the welcoming cottage and find yourselves in a comfortable, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner that will quickly become the heart of your temporary home. Put the kettle on in the kitchen to make a cup of tea to enjoy with a slice of Welsh bara brith, bought from a nearby bakery or cafe. Unpack your shopping to find the fresh ingredients for dinner too and decide on your evening’s viewing on the TV or DVD player. You also have a handy washer/dryer for beach towels and swimming costumes. At the end of each exhilarating day, climb the steep, narrow, cottage-style staircase up to the floor above, where there is a double bedroom and a bunk room, plus a family shower room. Guests at this cottage will receive a permit to park one car in the village car parks: the closest is about 200 metres away.
Find myriad opportunities for fabulous days out in the area. Venture 10 miles to Corris in the national park, where you can take the children through the underground tunnels and caverns of exciting King Arthur’s Labyrinth. Head about 16 miles to the nature reserve at RSPB Ynis-hir, where you can walk and spot a plethora of birdlife. Also take the youngsters to the Dyfi Osprey Project, 14 miles away, to view the ospreys and sometimes even see chicks.
