Situated in the quaint village of Llangrove in the heart of Herefordshire, this chic, stone cottage invites couples and their pooch for a relaxing stay. Set high in the hillside, the host village is well served with a pub, along with local suppliers of fresh eggs and cakes. The region is a haven for walkers, meaning you can step out to enjoy the rolling countryside from your front door, following the local footpaths and trails with stunning views across the valley. The Wye Valley and Forest of Dean offer river walks from Symonds Yat, along with ancient woodlands with sculpture trails and nature reserves. The vibrant market towns of Monmouth, and Ross on Wye are just 5 miles away, offering a range of independent shops, cafes and restaurants in picturesque settings.

On entry, notice the original cottage features that combine with modern comforts and crisp, white walls that beckon a luxurious stay. Inside, kick off muddy boots by the door and step through to the delightful lounge, where the glow of the roaring wood burner invites you to curl up on the comfy sofas in front of the Smart TV. When it’s time to eat, a light and stylish kitchen stands ready to host your culinary adventures, perhaps using ingredients picked up at the local butchers, to be enjoyed at the romantic table for two. When eyelids start to droop, follow the cottage stairs to find the fantastic and spacious king-size bedroom. With stylish furnishings and light pouring through the skylights, this is a wonderful place to unwind after a day of country walking. Serving the bedroom is the well-appointed en-suite shower room.

Outside, discover a delightful, enclosed garden with a gravelled area adorned with outdoor furniture. This is the ideal spot to welcome the day with a morning coffee, or gaze at the stars during an al fresco evening meal. You’ll also find secure bike storage for your convenience.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful area. Very well-equipped kitchen, cosy lounge area, light and airy bedroom. It had everything we needed. There was also a much appreciated Welcome basket on arrival. One thing to note for dog owners - there is an enclosed front garden but you have to take the dog out of the cottage and around the side to access the gRead morearden as there is no door leading directly into the garden.
