We have many excellent hot tub cottages in our collection, including five-star family retreats and luxury romantic getaways, but this unique hot tub caught our eye for its amazing views. 

This romantic getaway is a cosy hideaway with a double bed and kitchen, an enclosed garden with a decked area, a fire pit and a table and chairs. Snuggle up in this warm and welcoming escape just for two and enjoy the privacy offered by this secluded Bannau Brycheiniog / Brecon Beacons lodge.

There’s a wonderful big firepit outside so you could enjoy an evening cookout if you want to make the most of this incredible natural location, and we’d highly recommend an evening stargazing from the hot tub in this beautiful Dark Sky destination.

Why it’s the very 'best' country cottage: ‘Best country cottage’ was the trickiest category on this list as we have so many excellent holiday cottages scattered throughout the Brecon Beacons countryside - all offering up intriguing histories and delightful old features - but this tops the list for the fantastic amenities enjoyed by its guests!

A delightful farmhouse kitchen, chic country furniture and quirky finishing touches – not to mention the essential ancient beams, woodburner, and grand dining table – all combine to make this the ultimate countryside retreat. 

Alongside the cosy, rural atmosphere found throughout, this country cottage boasts wonderful extras to entertain the entire family including the large dining table, crafted from a single tree trunk that spans the main living space, perfect for a special meal or two. 

There is lots to do locally, from hiring bikes and cycling into Hay on Wye, or pedalling further along the Subtrans routes, hiring canoes or even Vespas from the nearby River Cafe. The Black Mountains and the Bannau Brycheiniog / Brecon Beacons are within easy reach, with something for every level of adventurer.
