“A beautiful house in a beautiful place! Fantastic walking from the door and fabulous baths & comfy beds to ease the limbs at the end of the day. Hay Bluff House

Hay Bluff House may have its roots in the 16th Century, but it has had a serious injection of 21st Century style and gadgetry to make it the perfect hide away for the savviest of travellers. Set just beneath Lord Hereford's Knob and Hay Bluff, in the Black Mountains (part of the Brecon Beacons National Park) with acres of beautiful cottage garden and fields, as well as a private waterfall, this stunning setting really has to be seen to be believed.

Lovingly restored, with bags of character, as well as Wi-Fi, open fires, under floor heating and an oil fired Aga, there are traditional touches of fresh natural lime wash, subtle Farrow and Ball shades, original cruck oak beams and slate flagstones throughout. There is also a fantastic, huge shower head from the Savoy Hotel in one of the two luxury bathrooms, making getting up in the morning even more enjoyable!

Hay Bluff House has three very beautiful bedrooms, the huge master bedroom has a gorgeous, romantic Sleigh bed, a fabulous en-suite bathroom, with roll top bath, shower, loo and basin, as well as beautiful bed linen and fluffy towels all included. There is an additional single bed in this room which can be made up, making it perfect for families with small children. There is another large double bedroom, plus a twin room with a sofa bed in, which can be made up to sleep another adult, or again, perfect for children sharing.

This cottage is perfect for doing as much or as little as you like, stock up with goodies from the local deli, enjoy a game of pool, and doze in-front of the open fire for the afternoons, or stride, pedal or ride out across some of the country's most beautiful terrain, right from the doorstep.

For an active holiday there is a riding centre, a canoe centre and an adventure training centre all within a few short miles. Not forgetting the fabulous Hay on Wye, home of the famous Hay Festival, with 30 bookshops, great cafes and some rarely found independent shopping. You'll love it!
