Cwm Barn

Black Mountains & Brecon Beacons
Set high on the Sugar Loaf Mountain, Cwm Barn is in a cracking position to stride out and enjoy the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountain National Parks. With great walking straight from the door, endless cycle routes and a pub within walking distance, this is a wonderfully relaxed and informal holiday cottage.

Incredibly pet and child friendly too, if you let us know in advance the age of your children, the owners will ensure there is a basket of age appropriate toys to keep them occupied whilst you enjoy lazy mornings enjoying the views on the private terrace. There is also a trampoline and a tree house to explore. Dogs will love the walks and fields all around.

The barn is set on one level and is light and open plan inside, with a simple farmhouse kitchen and dining room. Fresh flowers and a home made treat will be waiting for you on arrival. There are cosy sofas too and a flat screen television and dvd player for chilling out!

Two bedrooms include a good size twin and a generous double room, each with crisp sheets and towels included. There is also a sofa bed just outside the bedrooms, which could accommodate an extra child or make a handy spot for a travel cot. There is a traditional bathroom too with basin, bath and loo and a really sweet traditional bathroom peep hole window looking out over the Welsh countryside.

With good access to the market towns of Abergavenny and Brecon, Cwm Barn is in a great spot for sightseeing, the village of Crickhowell is also just a few minutes drive away, with restaurants, pubs and traditional village shops. There is a great mountaineering shop in the village to stock up on maps, mint cake and general walking and holiday supplies should you run out.

The supermarket van regularly tackles the hill too, so you can book your groceries online before leaving home for delivery once you have arrived...all making a very relaxed holiday here in Wales!
