Canal Boat Cottage

Black Mountains & Brecon Beacons
Set just back from the Brecon and Monmouth Canal, the aptly named Canal Boat Cottage has spectacular views from the sitting room and bedroom window. Looking across the Canal and over to the Black Mountains.

Designed upside down, to take full advantage of the views, you step into this attached cottage and up the stairs to a really lovely, large open plan sitting room and kitchen. The sitting room has lots of light and two huge comfy leather armchairs, designed for total chilling in-front of the cosy wood burner.

The cottage was originally the laundry house for the village many decades ago, so the owners have ensured that the modern day facilities match up to the task too. With a well stocked, brand new kitchen and a lovely welcome pack awaiting you on arrival you will feel very much at home. There is a farm house wooden table in the kitchen, making it perfect for any occasion from romantic suppers for two, to family feeding time for four. The kitchen leads out onto a very sweet private garden, with a garden bench which looks over the cottage across to the mountains and a bench table for barbeques and outdoor dining.

Downstairs, there is a small lobby area, which is perfect for drying muddy paws after a walk in the hills, then leading through to a double bedroom, with a bright twin bedroom next door, enjoying great views across the hills from the bed!

The bathroom is fabulous, we were tempted to try it for ourselves, with a huge bath-tub, separate shower, two basins and a loo, it can easily cater for the family morning rush!
