Sugar Loaf Barn
Recently featured on ITVs Home Sweet Holiday Home, Sugar Loaf Barn is surrounded by hundreds of acres of private farm land, with cattle and sheep gently grazing the slopes by the long private drive on the gentle slopes of the Sugar Loaf Mountain, this a wonderful luxury cottage you will want to keep on coming back to.
Step into the beautiful hand made oak kitchen, with cosy underfloor heating beneath the Travertine stone tiles and a lovely local welcome basket awaiting. Well equipped, with a smart retro Smeg fridge freezer and large Britannia range, cooking on holiday becomes a pleasure. There are also great views out across the mountains from the smart Butler kitchen sink!
Leading up to a lovely oak floored dining room, on to high ceilings and huge oak and glass windows in the sitting room. With light flooding in, more underfloor heating, huge leather sofas to sink into and an enormous television with DVD and a Playstation 3 attached, keeping teens amused.
Upstairs you will find a beautiful master bedroom, with antique king-size bed, marshmallow duvet, stunning views and it's own television. A lovely bathroom is right next door, fully equipped with stylish stone tiles and a claw foot bath. There is also another double bedroom on that side of the barn. Step across the oak and glass walkway to a further king-size bedroom, with television. Plus a single bedroom, which can be converted into a twin bedroom to sleep a total of eight. These further two bedrooms are serviced by a lovely shower room and there is an additional wet room down stairs too.
Every comfort has been considered in the design of this stunning barn, outside there are uninterrupted views, a private garden, as well as lovely garden furniture and a barbeque in the summer. Not forgetting to mention, a hot tub, with its own sound system, included in the price. ps: the barn and grounds are also available as a wedding and party venue, by separate arrangement.

- BATHING: 3 bathrooms in total, A luxury wet room with basin, a shower room with basin and loo, a further bathroom, with claw foot bath, mixer taps, loo and basin. Fluffy towels included.
- PETS: Well behaved dogs are very welcome, please double check with us if you have more than 2. A lovely kennel for dogs to dry off will be available from mid-February.
- OUTSIDE: Private driveway, parking and turning for two cars, more parking available behind the barn.
- FARMING: The barn is on a small (and very tidy and quiet) working farm, so, in season, there is the opportunity to help feed new born lambs and watch the countryside at work.
- WALK, RIDE & CYCLE: Sugar Loaf Barn, not surprisingly is on the Sugar Loaf Mountain, so there are fabulous walks straight from the door. Explore the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons on foot, by bike or on a pony, all very easily accessed.
- TOWNS: Just three miles from the market town of Abergavenny and a couple of miles further to the lovely mountain village of Crickhowell, Cardiff and Hereford are in easy reach too.
- HUMBLE BITES: There is a lovely pub, The Crown at Pantygelli, just a few minutes drive down the lane.
- POSH NOSH: The Hardwick is reached within 10 minutes, with Michelin starred chef Stephen Terry at the helm, ensuring delicious food. The Michelin starred Walnut Tree Inn is also just 10 minutes away as well.
- RAINY DAYS: There is a great little cinema in Abergavenny as well as a soft play area for under 8's and a milk shake bar great for post walk treats!
