"I just thought I'd drop you a quick line to say how much our group enjoyed our stay at Strawberry Wood Barn.
The setting is spectacular. I could have stood and stared out of the kitchen window all morning. The decor is beautiful and the whole house immaculate, but incredibly homely. The dog loved his bed and bowls, which were provided and was more than happy on the under-floor heated kitchen floor." Clare and Friends

Strawberry Wood Barn
Black Mountains & Brecon Beacons
Two beautiful old barns have been cleverly and stylishly joined together to create one of the best family holiday cottages around, created in a way to make it a particularly great cottage to share between two families.
Perched high on Hatterrall Ridge in the Brecon Beacons National Park, the views are truly spectacular, with lots of places to enjoy them from. From the French windows in the kitchen and dining room, to the stone terrace which looks out across the Black Mountains...or even from the trampoline if you're feeling energetic!
The kitchen is huge, with lots of stylish touches, clever design and nice gadgets such as the Lacanche range to make you feel very much at home. There is a fab dining table, which seats everybody on some very nice chairs!
The kitchen leads in one direction to the snug, with lazy days sofas, large tv, dvd, wi-fi and sky, which makes a great play room for all ages. In the other direction there is an elegant drawing room, with an open fire place, library area, lovely chairs and a sofa, perfect for relaxing with a book and a glass of something!
There are six bedrooms in total, arranged in a way to make the barn very suitable for two families to share, or for a group of friends to maintain a degree of privacy. There are two great bedrooms with their own beautiful bathroom on one side of the barn. The en-suite master bedroom and optional adjoining single bedroom is in the middle of the two barns, then two further large bedrooms on the other side of the barn, again with their own bathroom, so everybody has heaps of space.
This property will accept a dog, but only on the absolute promise that it doesn't leave the kitchen area (no hardship with all the underfloor heating to snooze on)!
