Wonderful Welsh Walks
Sugar Loaf Mountain. First by car, take the A40 from Crickhowell to Abergavenny, turn left at the sign for the Sugar Loaf vineyards, go past the vineyard and up the very steep hill to the car park at the end of the road (Mynydd Llanwenarth). Then on foot: follow the track up the hill, it is not too steep apart from very near the top. You will be rewarded by 360 degree views of the Black Mountains, the Usk Valley and Herefordshire.
The Blorenge - This is a great quick winter walk or an evening stroll rewarded with panoramic views of Abergavenny and the Black Mountains. From the A465 south of Abergavenny, take the road signed to Llanfoist, turn onto the B4246, after 4 miles take the minor road to car park opposite wireless mast. From the car park follow the path until the trig point, continue on north easterly for half a mile until scarp edge, follow path to the right for three quarters of a mile until it hits a minor track then follow back up to car.
The Three Peaks: Please use a map if you do this walk as hill mist can descend very quickly. Start in Crickhowell, up Table Mountain, descend to the Grwyne Fechan via the Beacons Way, across the valley, up Crug Mawr and then down into Grywne Fawr. Accend Sugar Loaf via Fforest then back down into Llangenny and back down into Crickhowell for a well earned hot chocolate!
Guided Mountain Running: We highly recommend it, if you love the idea of being out in the hills and want some reassurance regarding the routes and terrain then this is for you.

A Pony Club accredited centre, there are courses every school holiday for children to learn one end of a pony from the other, as well as lessons for beginners through to experienced riders.
LLANTHONY VALLEY: Great for a day or half day pony trek in the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons National Park.
