A hip hide-away that is just a pootle away from Hay! Nestled in a sublime little hamlet called Huntington, with a pub and a church all just a stroll away you’ll find yourself luxuriously enveloped in nature with views across to the Brecon Beacons from the bluebell woods, a bountiful kitchen garden you’re encouraged to plunder and friendly free ranging chickens topping up the breakfast supplies.
Set amongst historic Welsh Border towns including nearby Hay on Wye, a national treasure of international fame for its numerous book shops and literary festival, glorious Ludlow a mecca for foodies and Cathedral City of Hereford, home to the oldest map in the land. Fresh air is plentiful, with Offa's Dyke, a National walking trail and the natural border between England and Wales in easy reach, the Black Mountains, filled with majestic peaks and numerous pony and mountain bike trails are just the other side of Hay and the River Wye meanders along nearby, perfect for picnics and paddling.
Step inside, the vibe is the very best of quintessentially British boutique hotel style, high ceilings, exposed beams, luxurious linens and every comfort considered. The kitchen is full of all the gadgets you could need to rustle up a romantic meal or two...the decent local watering hole is also within walking distance for the first G&T of the day, or head into Hay for someone else to do the cooking.
The sitting room looks out across the kitchen garden and on to a pretty terrace, small fire pit and garden furniture too, perfect for dining alfresco. Relaxing is very high on the agenda inside, with the Smart TV & Blu-Ray player (a large DVD library too) as well as Wi-Fi and a deeply comfortable sofa.
Upstairs is dedicated to decadence, with exquisite wallpaper, beautiful super-king size bed, an en-suite bathroom with both bath tub and separate shower, piles of soft fluffy towels and a DAB Roberts radio.
Honeymoon hideaway, or everyday romantic retreat, you can’t help but fall in love all over again.
