Set in an ancient hay meadow overlooking Black Hill of Bruce Chatwin fame, this is one exceptionally romantic hide-away, cosy as toast inside and laying testament to the very best of artisan craftsmanship. Heart, soul, heaps of imagination and 800 man hours of love and labour have been poured in to the project by friendly owners Rickie and Gabbie, the result will sweep you off your feet!
Completely private, The Hideaway is indeed very hidden, deep in the Herefordshire hills, however Hay on Wye, of literary festival fame, is within fifteen minutes and a superb village pub within five, so there's plenty to explore if you can tear yourself away from the huts.
Surrounded by an acre of meadow, the main hut is all about relaxation, with super snug, proper double bed, pretty bed linen, multiple throws and cushions ensuring your comfort, there's a wood burning stove kicking out the heat, a hand made kitchen with gas hob, butler sink plus pull out table for wining and dining. Directly outside is an enormous fire pit, which doubles as a barbeque with large benches for lazing and taking in the view.
The second hut will make you gasp with it's ingenuity, dedicated to bathing, there is a wet room style shower with another cosy wood burning stove and hot and cold running water on tap. The private wood fired hot tub sits just beneath, cleverly designed from two up-cycled digger buckets, taking in the best of the mountain views. A separate compost loo is just a dash away, towels and eco friendly toiletries included.
Perfect for wild romance in the great outdoors, every comfort considered, lashings of vintage charm and piles of scrummy marshmallows for toasting by the fire....a true glamping haven...open year round!
