Beautiful family friendly converted Coaching Inn within walking distance to Tretower Castle and local amenities

With a history dating back to the 17th Century, stone roof, oak floors and thick old beams this is a proper Welsh Cottage.  Just yards away from historic Tretower Castle and set in a really convenient location for exploring the Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons National Park and the Wye Valley.

Pop your car into the private parking space, draw in a deep breath of the pure country air and enjoy the mountain view.  Then step inside for a memorable family holiday.  Leading straight into the kitchen, it is light and bright, with Shaker style country units, a farmhouse dining table and thoughtful welcome basket, which includes some yummy treats.

The kitchen is equally perfect for the family pet.  With simple to clean floors, an enclosed outdoor space, plus hallway where Rover can enjoy his supper.

Step through into a large, yet very cosy living space. Discover deep leather sofas, a Smart TV & Blu-Ray player, as well as a huge wood burning stove crackling away in the fireplace. There is a dining table too, perfect for intimate suppers.

Upstairs you will find a pretty twin bedroom and a cosy double, tastefully decorated and complete with crisp bed linen, squishy duvets and comfy throws.  There is a great upstairs playroom with TV/DVD player awaiting smaller guests, which is just across the hallway from the master bedroom.  The plan being parents of younger children can attempt a holiday lie-in whilst the little ones safely play.

There is a downstairs cloakroom and upstairs family bathroom.  This property has been carefully thought through to make a great space for a family of 4 or a cosy romantic bolt hole for a week in the hills.

The cottage was lovely especially the old fireplace & walls in the living area. B aware there is no garden, if u have a dog u have to take them out to do their business. The owners were really nice & always helpful. I would recommend it.

Fantastic converted coach house in good location for Brecon Beacons. Immaculate. Lovely and informed host. Dog was welcome and no problem - for us, easy to keep in kitchen and hallway. Small front patio is pretty and closed off so didn't have to worry about dog seeking an adventure. Would thoroughly recommend. Wifi reliable.
