Set in an idyllic hamlet on the borders of Powys and Shropshire, this stunning detached barn conversion offers superb uninterrupted rural views and is a romantic, tranquil and secluded haven.

Head for the hills with your loved one and enjoy some truly special time at this exquisite retreat just inside the Welsh border. Situated near Lledrod, 4.5 miles from Oswestry, the beautiful former barn sleeps two guests and also welcomes a pair of their best four-legged friends. Indulge in long country walks with your canine companions in both Wales and England; wander the Ceiriog Valley or pick up a section of the long-distance Offa’s Dyke Path. Return home to light the wood burner and soak up the far-reaching, panoramic views.

Open the front door on to this handsome stone barn to find gorgeous timberwork and a series of picture windows. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner will quickly become the heart of this holiday home during your stay. Relax in here together in front of the Smart TV as the wood burner crackles nearby. Prepare tasty meals with the fresh, local produce you have sourced on your forays then enjoy them as you gaze out at the views. Venture upstairs to the comfortable, super-king-size bedroom with its pretty porthole window as night falls and find a contemporary wet room up here too. Bask out in the Welsh sunshine in your enclosed garden as you cook supper out in the fresh air on the BBQ. Find parking for two cars at the barn.

Spend your afternoons in the historic town of Oswestry. Browse its independent shops and market stalls and stop by antiques shops and art galleries. See the 3,000-year-old Oswestry Hillfort and follow the Wilfred Owen Walking Trail. Drive 9 miles to visit the National Trust’s Chirk Castle, a medieval fortress that dates back to the 13th century. Wander the exquisite 5.5-acre, landscaped grounds here and the 480 acres of estate parkland. Venture 7 miles to see the impressive waterfalls at Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant.
