Property code: 49461

A quirky cosy couples retreat, set in an elevated position commanding unrivalled countryside and sea views. Perfect for exploring Snowdonia National Park and the coast and countryside in North Wales.

Retreat to this enticing hideaway near LLwyngwril in the southern swathe of the Snowdonia National Park. Gaze out over the countryside towards the sea as you relax inside or out at the charming, one-bedroom hut, which sleeps two guests. Wander down to the beach from this romantic abode, head out on long walks or cycle rides from your cottage. Visit Aberdovey to play golf, go surfing or to sail, canoe or paddleboard, or look out for dolphins in the waters of Cardigan Bay.

Climb the stairs and enter this bijou holiday home, which is next to the owner’s but enjoys its privacy, to find yourselves in an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/bedroom. Light the wood burner on chilly evenings and throw open the French doors on warm mornings. Choose a film to watch on the TV with DVD/Blu-ray or cook a romantic dinner for two in the kitchen area then dine together at the table or out in the fresh air, taking in the coastal vistas. Relax in the comfortable double bed at the end of each fun-filled day and wake up the next morning with a hot shower. Light the BBQ on balmy evenings and relax out on the decking as the sun goes down over the sea. There is space to store bikes and canoes at the hut and there is plenty of parking.

Drive or cycle 3 miles into Fairbourne then catch the water ferry over to Barmouth, often described as the place where the mountains meet the sea. Potter in the shops here, have something to eat and even go to the theatre. Make a 10-mile trip into beautiful Snowdonia to see the Dolgoch Falls or head 19 miles to Corris Mine Explorers to wander the caverns, chambers and tunnels of a disused Welsh slate mine.

A nice outlook and outside seating options. Easy distance of places like Barmouth, Harlech and so on but in my view a car is essential. Overall somewhere I would return to

We really enjoyed the peace we got in this location. Transport is very important to have as it is quite far from other resorts.

Great property, very well equipped in a beautiful, peaceful & quiet location boasting stunning views of the sea & surrounding countryside. The property had everything we needed, very warm & cosy and ample parking for the car. The local pub and patrons were really warm and welcoming with the landlord accommodating us for a meal even though we hadn'tRead more booked and, that they were really busy. All in all a superb accommodation with some great towns and villages all along the coast. Hide

It was a perfect size. Beautiful location. Beautiful view of the sea from the bed. It was private enough even with the owners house just down from the hut. I just loved it and would love to go again.

We loved every minute of this break, beautiful quirky hut perched on the hill overlooking the sea. We only had one interaction with Derek the owner and he left us in peace to have a quiet break. We would love to go back again.

A unique lovely cabin that is very well presented. Derek met us on arrival and was very welcoming. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and made great use of the wood burner to keep us snug. I am sure we will be returning.

Overall it was a nice break for a couple of days, but we went in November & the weather was'nt great, the views were good, but the entrance to the front door is quite steep with big steps, & only a hand rail up the last four, a bit dicy when wet, it was'nt far to get to near by villages, the property itself was a quiet place to stay .

We loved the Hazel Hut - its characterfulness and its natural, tranquil surroundings. We had everything plus that we needed for a very comfortable stay and we were very lucky to have amazing weather! We also enjoyed being able to sit out every night with the super views of the sea and foothills of Snowdonia - some stunning sunsets.

The Hazel hut was brilliant! We couldn't have asked for a better location, sat having dinner outside looking at the sea was just perfect!
