Book a stay at this handsome, three-bedroom barn conversion above the village of Govilon near Abergavenny. Sleeping six people and also welcoming up to three dogs, the generous stone property is set in 40 acres of its own grounds. Just 1 mile from the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, it also offers great access to the many footpaths of the Brecon Beacons National Park and is in an ideal location for anyone who enjoys climbing, canoeing, caving or ziplining. Return home from your days out to relax in the bubbling, private hot tub.

 

Wander into the barn to find yourselves in the inviting, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with beautiful country views. Take a seat on one of the sofas, find a film on TV and light the wood burner if you choose. Take turns at whipping up delicious dinners in the kitchen, with its Aga, then dine together by the enormous picture window. Members of your party might also like to spread out into the second lounge, where there is a smart TV. Also downstairs is a wet room, while all the bedrooms are up on the first floor. The king-size includes a smart TV, a double and a twin. The family bathroom is also up here. Bask in the sun out on the decking on warm days. Light the BBQ or soak in the hot tub during the evening. There’s a handy utility space, with a washing machine and dryer, in the garage. The barn is accessed via a rather narrow lane, leading to parking for four cars by the house.

 

Enjoy being just 3.5 miles from Abergavenny, with its independent shops and market stalls selling a spectrum of delicious local produce. The town is also known for its excellent cafes and restaurants. Crickhowell, 5 miles away, is also a picturesque place to while away an afternoon or two.

The walks start from the front door and are stunning as is the view from the hot tub. The downstairs is brilliant loads of room and the snug was great for a TV night. Upstairs the main bedroom is big, but could do with a kingsize bed, bedroom two is small only room for the bed and bedroom three is really a single for a young child, remember the ceiRead moreling is sloping aswell. I love this property but would not return because of the track it is very narrow with high stone walls, not good atall. Hide

Lovely barn conversion, comfy beds and great wet room. Beautiful scenery.and enjoyed the antics of the sheep and horses, which came to the barn fence for carrots to be fed to them! The location would perfect for 2 or 3 days,. Suggest a map of trails close to the barn. We booked a week so we could travel to places of interest but though we had been Read moremade clearly aware of the single lane road and track, negotiating the road's high hedges and the stone wall leading to the barn, hazardous. The location and the property were both excellent with beautiful views and walks all around. Every body loved the horses and the sheep in the field next to the house. The property had been nicely renovated and made for a comfortable stay for 6 (4 adults and 2 children) although bedroom 2 is a little bit cramped. Tumbles End Barn is set in a beautiful location away from people and in its own glade. It is peace and quiet with lots of wildlife and very tranquil. The barn has been sensitively renovated and feels very homely and unlike a holiday cottage - so rare these days. The barn was warm and comfortable with underfloor heating and huge soft sofas. We had a brilliant weekend. The barn is well equipped and the beds were comfy. The hot hub was very spacious and a treat to go in. The information given before our trip was very detailed. Would love to visit and stay again one day.

Lovely remote old barn conversion, perfect for escaping the day to day. Big family friendly rooms and footpath walks straight out of the front door. Although it felt remote we were still only 15mins drive from Abergavenny, which has lot's of shops and cafes. Hot tub was brilliant, nice and big!

This setting was idyllic, the ponies were friendly and mischievous, the views were fresh and just beautiful, this place was amazing for recharging our batteries after a heavy work year. This cottage was fantastic for us - the narrow track adds to the adventure of finding this isolated spot. The cottage has a very welcoming feel. Idyllic barn conversion in the middle of nowhere, if you are looking for total peace and quiet this is the place to go. The owners have thought of everything for you to have a lovely cosy holiday, the Hot-tub is a real treat to come home to after a long walk. Very narrow road to the Barn from the village and even narrower track when you leave the rRead moreoad, you need to be a very confident driver, and good at reversing. Lovely, remote cottage with outstanding views. A really peaceful stay and we enjoyed meeting the neighbours (4 horses and several sheep) and watching the sunset whilst enjoying a drink in the hot tub. The road and track to the property was a bit challenging but worth it.

A bit awkward to get to, but worth it. Spacious cottage with all facilities, felt like a home from home. Gorgeous views, gorgeous hot tub. Well maintained. Everything you need is there. Comfy beds. And the kids loved feeding the animals!

This was a perfect place for us to base ourselves for the week while we did day walks and biking. We had a couple of beautiful starry nights. The spa was very welcome after long walks. We found the weather chilly so appreciated the aga ticking over slowly while we were there. Tumbles End was the most idyllic location imaginable! It was well equipped, comfortable and homely. From the moment you walk in the door you feel yourself relaxing from it all. Really fantastic cottage with lovely owners. It is set back a little from the main road, with a track that may be difficult to navigate in certain vehicles, however the actual property is very tranquil and peaceful. The connected garage had everything you could need during your stay and there's plenty to do pending a short drive. Fantastic cottage nestled in the foothills of a valley with a 'miles from anywhere' feeling. The property has plenty of space for relaxation and beautiful views to the surrounding countryside and livestock, including southwest facing hotub! Absolutely beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Cottage was equipped with everything you could need and was spotless. Waking up to wildlife looking through the windows was amazing. The only downfall was the narrow track to get to the property. However, once you've done it a couple of times, it's fine. We have just returned from spending a week a this lovely cottage/barn. The location is just wonderful, and waking up each morning to the sound of the river was just beautiful . The barn is superbly equipped, it's clean, and very comfortable. We loved seeing the ponies and sheep coming right up to the large window in the lounge. The cottage was amazing and the view was outstanding. We sat in the hot tub in the dark and looked at the stars. We were able to take our dogs on some lovely walks. The cottage was perfect for the dogs. They had a wonderful time.

Absolute luxery. And spotlessly clean in beautiful surroundings. Perfect for getting away and chilling out. Couldn't of asked for more. Hot tub a big plus.wirh just the sounds of the stream and wildlife. Our 2 border terriers had a blast with lots of secret walks to discover. Would definitely book here again
