Detached luxury barn with hot tub and garden located in Shropshire village close to Shrewsbury. Perfect for walkers, cyclists, historians, and culture enthusiasts. An all year-round destination.

This stylish property, which looks out onto open countryside, is just 11 miles from the medieval market town of Shrewsbury and is within easy reach of a great selection of varied walking and cycling routes. Those looking for peace and tranquillity can lose themselves in the beauty of the Shropshire Hills, where you can meander through river valleys and stride out over open moorland. Keen cyclists will be pleased to learn that the popular Route 81 passes by the end of the driveway, taking you on a journey along quiet lanes through sleepy towns and villages. You’ll also be just 2 miles from an outdoor pursuits centre, where you can try paintballing and quad biking.

The 19th-century barn is laced with luxurious features to make your stay feel extra special, including plush soft furnishings and gorgeous granite worktops. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has a stunning feature window which bathes the area in natural light, as well as vibrant accessories which bring the area to life. In the morning, tuck into your Welsh rarebit around the chic breakfast bar and in the evening cwtch together on the plump sofa to watch a film on the Smart TV. Outside, soak up the peaceful countryside surroundings with a BBQ and sundowner on the patio or a soak in the hot tub before retiring to one of the two gorgeous king-size bedrooms.

You’ll find plenty to see and do in Shrewsbury. After a potter around the intriguing independent shops and boutiques, take a stroll through Quarry Gardens to admire the stunning floral displays or enjoy a boat trip along the River Severn. The grand National Trust property of Attingham Park is just 16.5 miles away and makes a fantastic day out. Wander around the elegant 18th-century estate and picnic in style on the lawns in front of the imposing mansion.

This was a great break, the owners are very friendly, the only thing you have to get used to is no mobile reception. This is a good if you want to break from work etc. However, the place has great reception. We will be back at some point as this was a relaxing place, very quiet.
