Tucked beneath the Tor y Foel mountain in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, escape for an adventure-filled getaway with family or friends. Boasting inviting country style and underfloor heating, this gorgeous cottage welcomes you home from the great outdoors with open arms. With valley views reaching far and wide, fill your lungs with fresh air and plan your next adventure over an al fresco aperitif.

Sociable spaces and quiet corners mean you can enjoy chatting away or cosying up alone at this charming abode where you’ll feel right at home. Sitting at the end of a 1-mile-long track, enjoy the peace and serenity of your surroundings and lap up the views from the large garden as you fire up the BBQ for a summer feast. When there’s a chill in the air, warm your toes on the underfloor heating and fire up the double-aspect wood burner before choosing from a comfortable sofa or a chair - perfect for curling up in with a good book. A subtle rustic style sweeps through into the kitchen whilst the dining area exudes elegance and sophistication. After a good night’s sleep in one of the first-floor bedrooms with en-suites, sip your morning brew in the pretty sunroom and wake slowly to the sound of the songbirds.

With peaks, lakes and bustling villages close to home, your wonderful location on the edge of Talybont-on-Usk is perfect for avid walkers, cyclists and explorers. Tread the Taff Trail, the Henry Vaughan Walk or wander the water’s edge at Talybont Reservoir (1.5 miles) or travel 5.5 miles and follow the Blaen y Glyn Waterfalls loop past tumbling falls. Beautiful property in a fabulous location. There are footpaths in all directions very close by, and the views and surrounding countryside are magnificent. We particularly enjoyed spending time in the sun room.

The cottage is situated at the end of a one mile farm track.. However, once you get there it's wonderful. The farmhouse has two en-suite bedrooms for two couples. It is at the centre of four walking paths, so you can have a choice of hills, reservoirs, canals and villages. One thing that I must mention is that my wife left her handbag. Cottage is in a great location for walkers and was clean, spacious and well equipped but the dcor would benefit from a little TLC in parts. Owner was helpful and friendly as were the locals we met especially at the great village store and cafe. Recommended.

Beautiful, well-appointed and spacious cottage in a stunning and secluded location. A large number of walks are available from the door through the beautiful countryside, with plenty of wildlife to enjoy. We went in Summer but I imagine the night skies at other times of year would be spectacular as there is zero light pollution.

The property is in fantastic location, including a forest on the back and easy access to cycling or walking trails. The property is large, yet relatively safe for kids. We really enjoyed our stay there.

This is a delightful property in idyllic surroundings. The Farmhouse is well equipped and comfortable. Plenty of towels and good quality bed linen. There were four of us for a couple of days, so the two en-suite bathrooms made a great difference to our comfort. I would most definitely recommend this property for a peaceful and scenic stay. Home madRead moree Apple Juice, milk etc very useful on arrival - especially as the home delivery failed to show. Hide
