A cosy cottage surrounded by farmland and well situated for exploring the Brecon Beacons, couples can find seclusion and activities to fill their days at this retreat. With lovely views over the surrounding fields from the garden, sit with a coffee and enjoy breakfast as the sun comes up over the countryside.

With exposed stone walls and beams reflecting the age of the cottage, dark wood fittings complement neutral furnishings creating an atmosphere of sophistication in this cosy bolthole for two. After a delicious meal, climb a few steps to the beautifully furnished lounge, curling up on the sofa with a glass of wine by the warming wood burner. Wake below exposed beams amongst elegant interiors in the bedroom to wonderful views across the Usk Valley to the Talybont Valley. Open the granary door and take your morning coffee to the little terrace and garden, the perfect spot to soak up the sun. Fire up the BBQ in the evening or potter to the pub a mile down the road for a hassle-free evening meal.

Located within 3 miles of Llangynidr and Bwlch, guests have a few villages to explore not far from the property. Crickhowell (7.5 miles) and Abergavenny (13 miles) are worth a visit to peruse the independent shops, farm shops, restaurants, and pubs. Stretch those legs with walks along the River Usk, or hire a kayak and paddle along the Brecon and Monmouth Canal (1.5 miles). Get the pulse racing at Llangorse Activity Centre (4.5 miles) with its climbing wall while younger children can enjoy the soft play at Cantref Adventure Farm (7.5 miles). Perfect little cottage, I stayed here for a month while on business and I have zero complaints. The location is great with a lovely view of the valley. The cottage is spotless, very well equipped and modern but doesn't loose the rustic feel. It is just of the A40, and only 10 minutes away from Crick Howell, which is a beautiful little town. We had an enjoyable weeks stay. The cottage was as described, situated in a lovely secluded position, surrounded by apple orchards with views over the valley. The welcome goodies were appreciated. The owner visited most days to feed chickens and replenish the supply of bird food and we enjoyed his company and local recommendations. We visited BrecoRead moren, Crickhowell, Hay-on-Wye and the nearby Reservoir and ate out most days. We would recommend this property to our family and friends. Hide
