This colourful home boasts a wonderful location amid mountains and delicious eateries to please the adventurers and foodies among you. With walks from your door, you can be treading a track to the Sugar Loaf Mountain one moment and sipping an al fresco aperitif on the sun terrace the next. Perfect for families or a pair of couples, the hot tub welcomes you home from the great outdoors with bubbles and warmth and the local pub is half a mile from home.

One of two lodges on the owner’s land, admire the beautiful gardens which surround you and settle in in style. Curl up beneath beams in the lounge/diner where splashes of bright colour bring the space to life and natural light floods in through French doors. Enjoy a stretch of the legs and head from the sun terrace to the Sugar Loaf Mountain or wander the 3.5 acres of garden where you’ll come across pheasants and woodland, as well as your very own hot tub. After washing clothes in the shared laundry facilities, enjoy a peaceful snooze in one of two smart bedrooms before waking and sipping a coffee from the machine in the galley-style kitchen.

Spend time exploring the dramatic landscapes of the Brecon Beacons where mountains and lakes are scattered amid bustling market towns and villages. Crickhowell is just 1.5 miles away where you can walk to Table Mountain, cross the 17th-century bridge and tuck into delicious plates of food. Llangorse Lake, the largest natural lake in South Wales, is 12 miles north and has an array of exciting activities and is a picturesque place for a waterside wander.

Had a great stay in Pheasant Lodge, the hosts were very helpful and attentive. They were great with requests, even setting up some decorations for our Christmas celebration! The hot tub was a great extra however would have been improved if we had been able to control when to heat it ourselves. The property was uphill from the car park so maybe not Read moreso suitable for those with limited mobility. Great stay nevertheless! Hide

Fabulous quiet idyllic location, lovely well equipped lodge with good sized rooms. Everything was perfect apart from the hot tub which needs to be heated by a wood burner 3 hours before use, in October we found it was only lukewarm after this time so did not use.
