Set in an elevated location with views across the rolling countryside. Single storey and open plan, finished with a contemporary twist, and perfect no matter what the time of year.

Exuding charm, this gorgeous Dutch barn commands a fantastic location in the Herefordshire countryside. With walks from your door and superb scenery, whisk your family or a few friends away and fill your days with adventures before settling beneath the striking exposed beams and basking in the heat of the wood burner.

Exuding elegant style with splashes of rich colour brightening up the space, this stunning home is bursting with charm. The open-plan living space flows seamlessly from one area to another so you can enjoy sociable evenings and keep each other company whether you’re the designated chef, enjoying some downtime on the sofa or in charge of lighting the wood burner. The wood burner transforms the stylish space into a snug haven where cosy evenings in and film nights on the Smart TV/DVD can take place. If the sun shines late into the evening, take a tipple outside and lap up the rays on the terrace which is reached via stone steps. Make your way back inside for a restful night’s sleep in one of two gorgeous king-size bedrooms, each with their own en-suite.

With the Shropshire Hills, the Black Mountains and Elan Valley surrounding you, hop in the car and head out to explore. If you want to leave the car behind and stay close to home, lace up your walking shoes and follow walks past the farmland and woodland, taking in the views as you work up an appetite. Hay-on-Wye (20 miles) is a wonderfully quaint and vibrant place to reward your efforts with a plate of delicious food and is known for its abundance of bookshops.

The accommodation was everything we wanted it to be. The hot tub was not the reason for the selection but an added bonus. The property is isolated but that is what we wanted. It was mostly very quiet with wonderful country views but in the afternoon military jets were certainly overhead. No idea how often that happens but clearly out of everybodys Read morecontrol. The EV charger is well positioned and easy to use but does need to be unlocked. I would suggest discussing costing before arrival. Hide

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The only equipment that was missing were clothes airers as when it was raining we had nowhere to hang our washing. The location was stunning and we spent many an evening in the lovely hot tub after a long day walking. The views from the cottage are beautiful. If you love walking, as we do, this is an ideaRead morel spot to stay. There are also National Trust places nearby to visit. We would love to come back again one day. Hide

The Top Building was a great holiday rental. It was very clean and had all the equipment one requires for a weeks break. My only criticism is that there was no fan/ air conditioning unit to hand in the event the weather is very hot, the barn does get extremely warm when we experience hot weather. Aside that, the barn is great and set in a beautifulRead more location where you are surrounded by peaceful green lush. We would highly recommend it if you are looking for a staycation.
