Property code: 81502

Charming first-floor apartment suitable for a couple, situated behind a shop in the pretty town of New Quay on the West Wales coast, just a short walk from one of the town's two sandy beaches.

This quirky property, full of seafaring charm, makes the ideal romantic bolthole for a special seaside getaway. The apartment is located in the idyllic coastal town of New Quay, which has three beautiful sandy beaches, as well as a great selection of cafes and traditional ‘tafarndai’ pubs. Take sunrise strolls along the clifftops, where the views of Cardigan Bay are stunning, or hop on a boat to go wildlife spotting along the coast. Alternatively, enjoy a day out to the vibrant university town of Aberystwyth (24 miles).

Stairs lead to the decked veranda of this unique property, where the front door opens into a spectacular open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Crisp white walls act as the perfect backdrop for a range of stylish nautical accessories, and the polished wood flooring really adds to the seafaring theme. Unwind on the comfy sofa in front of the TV or enjoy a dinner for two at the cosy dining table followed by a sundowner on the veranda. Wake up to sea views from the cabin-style bedroom, inspiring you to get out and explore your coastal surroundings.

New Quay has everything you’d want from a traditional Welsh seaside resort. Explore the golden, sandy beaches, potter around the pretty harbour and look for bottlenose dolphins playing beyond the harbour wall. Better still, hop on one of the boats that depart from the harbour for a trip marvelling at the vast array of wildlife that inhabit this magical stretch of heritage coast. To get a feel for New Quay’s rich history, take The Dylan Thomas Trail and follow in the footsteps of the great poet who once inhabited the town. Another stunning 4-mile walk takes you along the coastal path to the secluded cove of Cwmtydu, a popular spot for seals to come to rear their pups.

Book the cabin and stay right in the heart of new quay, literally everything is on your doorstep. We have been staying at the cabin for the last fifteen years and have never had any problems with anything. Fantastic place and we will definitely be staying in the cabin next year. Russ and Julie

Beautiful location. Clean cabin with very creaky flooring, high bed and bath making it difficult for those not agile. Nice sunny balcony to escape the creaky floor. Just around the corner from the beach and plenty eating out facilities on your doorstep and local shops.
