Head into the elegant and well-equipped kitchen to rustle up a tasty evening meal in the electric range oven to enjoy in the pretty dining room. Upstairs, admire the views out towards the Menai Straits from the bedroom window. The garden offers yet more space to relax and unwind. Enjoy the unique experience of an outdoor bath, dine alfresco on the patio, or watch the sun set behind the mountains beyond. There is also a separate studio outside, perfect for art, reading, or yoga.

 

Bethesda town is less than 2 miles down the road, offering a couple of pubs and shops. Zip World is 2 miles away with the longest zip line in Europe and fastest in the world. Join one of the nearby footpaths that head into Snowdonia National Park and explore the stunning landscape and waterfalls including Aber Falls. You’ll be around 15 miles from Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, and if hiking isn’t your forte, take the Mountain Railway to the summit. Visit the eclectic town of Bangor (6 miles) which has a variety of shops, restaurants and a beautiful beach.

We've never been to North Wales and it didn't disappoint. From a wonderfully cosy cottage to beautiful scenery and coastline. We fell in love with Mountain Escape and we had everything we could possibly need. It was so comfortable and was a great space to return to after a day out walking and sightseeing, rain or shine. A beautiful cottage in a perfect location. Really easy to find, easy parking, and we received a very helpful welcome pack with recommended places to eat which we found really useful. The cottage has everything you could possibly want, and the owners made it very welcoming for us, and are very easy to contact if you have any questions.

Always a pleasurable experience staying at one of Sue's properties, Daffodil House & Mountain View, on this occasion our stay was at Mountain View. Everything you need for a home from home. Always a lovely hamper of essentials and Sue's Lemon Drizzle loaf is on another level! Perfectly moist, it kept us going on our long walks :)

We had the best holiday at Mountain Escape. The cottage and the hosts were exceptional. Excellent 1 bed cottage with all the creature comforts of home, set just outside the town of Bethesda. Cottage has a wonderful homely feel, lovely living room with wood burner for cosy evenings in. Clean, warm, comfortable, very well thought out, you want for nothing. The living room was cosy & warm especially when the burner was on. Mountain Escape is a lovely cottage which has been tastefully decorated and thoughtfully equipped. A great location to access all the attractions and outdoor pursuits of North Wales. This is one of the very best holiday let's we've had the privilege to use. Perfect for a couple and their well behaved dog.

Excellent property and location. Sue was very helpful and attentive to any questions or needs we had. The cottage was immaculately clean and well equipped for our stay. A beautiful cottage that is a real home from home. Equipped with everything you could possibly need . Lovely garden with summerhouse, barbecue and an amazing quirky outside bath. A very generous welcome pack was a lovely surprise with homemade cakes and treats. An excellent base for exploring this area of North Wales.

This is a lovely, comfortable, clean and cottage in a very quiet location. Its a great area for walks, with a few you can join just a short walk from the cottage itself, or you can drive to nearby locations including Anglesey.

Our holiday at Mountain Escape was delightful. Our hosts welcomed us with a selection of goodies! The cottage is beautifully presented and equipped and has a warm and relaxing atmosphere. This cottage is absolutely fantastic. It is spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It is extremely well equipped and has everything that you could possibly want in a holiday cottage. There was good communication with the owner, who left a very generous welcome pack. I would certainly book this cottage again.

The cottage was perfect. Lots of attention to detail we couldnt fault the cottage at all.The outside bath was great wasnt sure wed use it as it was cold at night but we braved the elements and dipped several times. Big thank you to the hosts who were very attentive. Great base to be at to explore the areas. Will definitely be returning.

This is a beautiful well thought out cottage in a beautiful location. The special touches from the owners such as the homemade cake and basket of goodies all really add to create a warm welcome on arrival. It is a great spot to explore the local area or further afield - highly recommended!

The cottage is wonderful and in a perfect location and Sue and Martin are so welcoming. Just be aware that if you have a dog, the outside court yard area is not secure, and a big dog can jump the wall or get through the gate. If your dog does not do any of that, then it is perfect.

The cottage is very cosy and very clean. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay and is close to some great places to visit. Lovely warm, comfortable and very well equipped cottage. The bedroom is in the eaves and so you need to watch your head in one area but this small inconvenience is more than compensated for by the super king-size bed the decor and the wonderful window seat ( piled high with cushions) with views over The Menai Straits.
