Occupying a quiet, courtyard location a few hundred metres from the town centre, a neutral palette and warm wooden tones create a bright, airy and welcoming feel throughout. Located in the Usk Valley, Crickhowell is popular with visitors as it has many independent shops and eateries amongst its attractive buildings. Outdoor enthusiasts also like it, as it’s close to some of the Brecons’ most impressive peaks, such as Sugar Loaf Mountain (7.5 miles) and Pen y Fan (21 miles). Table Mountain can be seen from the town and there are many circular routes to the top so that you can enjoy the spectacular panoramas. The area is also popular with canoeists, climbers and horse riders. If you’d prefer a gentle wander around a pretty Welsh town, head to Abergavenny (6.5 miles), Brecon (14.5 miles) or book-lovers haven, Hay-on-Wye (20.5 miles).
