Luxuriate in a stay at this handsome stone holiday home, on the fringes of Cilgerran, just 3.5 miles from Cardigan. Sleeping two guests and welcoming one dog, this one-bedroom cottage makes an idyllic retreat for a couple. Spend your days swimming and surfing at beautiful beaches such as Poppit Sands, 6 miles away. Follow a section of the Ceredigion Coast Path and look out for dolphins and seals. Return home to bask in the sunshine on your deck, cook pizza in the shared pizza oven or have a drink at the on-site bar.

Step inside and find yourselves in the kitchen/diner where there is everything you need to prepare homecooked meals with your own ingredients. Dine together in here at mealtimes or carry breakfast, lunch or dinner out into the fresh air or upstairs to the lounge/diner. Also at ground-floor level is the king-size bedroom, with its comfortable bed to ensure you have a good night’s sleep, plus a shower room with a spacious double shower. Climb the stairs to discover the lounge/diner where you can relax in comfort together and take in the gorgeous, rural vistas. Watch TV in here, have a romantic dinner at the table and open the doors onto the Juliet balcony on fine days. Take your books, a couple of glasses and a cold bottle of wine out onto your private decked terrace, or sit out in front of the cottage instead to enjoy the views. You’ll find parking for one car about 25 metres from the property.

Stroll into Cilgerran to see the castle and the megalithic standing stone in the village churchyard. Explore the ancient town of Cardigan too. Browse in its shops, dine out in its restaurants and see its impressive castle. Or, visit the Welsh Wildlife Centre, 2 miles from the cottage.

The Cwtch was just delightful. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped, very comfortable and with the best bed we have ever slept in. The location is stunning and so peaceful, with just the twittering of the swallows coming and going. Debra and Phil are very friendly and most helpful without being intrusive. We can highly recommend.
