Take peaceful strolls along the Montgomery Canal (3.5 miles) or explore the intricate gardens of Powis Castle (11 miles). The spacious property sleeps eight guests and has an open-plan, sociable layout. The outdoor area is spectacular, with a gorgeous terrace overlooking the pond and a patio for dining in the sunshine, as well as 30 acres of shared grounds and a trout fishing pond.

The beautiful former mill barn is bursting with character, with dramatic oak beams throughout and elegant period features. Luxurious touches, such as the underfloor heating, have been included to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The vast lounge/kitchen/diner really does have the wow factor and provides ample room for everyone to spread out. Enjoy dinner parties around the fabulous dining table, followed by a movie night on the plush sofas arranged around the TV/DVD. The property has four inviting bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities. Outside, while away a summer’s evening on your private patio. Fire up the BBQ for a spot of al fresco dining, followed by a sundowner on the balcony overlooking the millpond. You’re also welcome to explore the 30 acres of grounds, saying hello to the resident alpacas and pygmy goats!

Immerse yourself in history with a visit to the magnificent Powis Castle, with its celebrated Italian and French gardens. Marvel at the medieval architecture, search for statues amongst the foliage, and soak up the sunshine in the orangery on the terrace. Pure bliss! While away an afternoon in Welshpool (11 miles). Browse the independent shops in the Georgian market town, before stepping back in time with a ride on the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway.

Lovely house, large enough for 3 couples, 3 children and 3 dogs. Great to have a fenced in patio and plenty of garden & feilds to walk dogs around. Children loved meeting the alpacas, goat and ponies.

We stayed as a family of six adults with four dogs. Booked in for Christmas the house was beautifully decorated for Christmas and a whole host of goodies were awaiting us including milk, bread, tea, coffee, to help us settle in quickly. The kitchen equipment is well stocked and the cottage was spotless. Our hosts checked in on us to ensure we were Read moresettled and encouraged us to use the vacant fields to exercise our dogs. This very comfortable and cosy accommodation is set in beautiful grounds in a magnificent part of the country. The resident animals are interesting to watch (and also interested in visitors). The Bull and Heifer nearby is a welcoming pub with excellent beer and food. Newtown is a ten minute drive away with a great bakers, Jamaican restaurant and taRead morekeaway, and a selection of other eateries. Beautiful house in an amazing setting with grassy garden, pond, and patios which were great for our 19m toddler and 4 dogs. Thank you for providing a stair gate and feed for the goat. Great location, lovely house, beautiful views, lovely walks. Very clean, every you need. The outside space is fantastic and so dog friendly. A lovely walk to a nearby village, can highly recommend the Bull and Heifer for Sunday roast.

We had an excellent stay at Quarry at Highgate. The cottage has lovely grounds, is clean, well equipped and makes you feel at home. Nice pub about a mile away and lots of countryside for walks.
