This cosy bolthole for two set in the beautiful Welsh countryside is a perfect escape to connect with nature and explore the spectacular coastline.

Nestled amid stunning Welsh countryside, this cosy hideaway offers the perfect romantic retreat for couples looking to connect with nature. Set in a small, private courtyard with a handful of similar properties, the fields, mountains and forests surrounding this barn are perfect for a country stroll – just remember your binoculars so you can appreciate the nature and wildlife all around. There’s an abundance of activities nearby, from the Ceredigion Coast Path to the Brecon Beacons National Park – and you can bring up to two dogs to share your adventures.

This Welsh barn conversion is bursting with charm as soon as you step inside, with arched, beamed ceilings, traditional wooden doors, and beautiful tiled floors. Open plan and stylish with a relaxing monochrome style and flashes of colour, the lounge/kitchen/diner is beautifully presented and flooded with natural light. Whip up delicious dinners in the galley-style kitchen, and choose where to dine – in the sun in your courtyard garden or at the table for two inside. Then snuggle up on the large corner sofa and delve into your favourite book or watch a film on the Smart TV. Enjoy a lie-in in the comfortable king-size bed (which can be made up as a twin upon request), and kickstart your morning with a refreshing shower followed by a morning cuppa in the fresh country air.

Bountiful trails and breathtaking stargazing spots abound in the Cambrian Mountains, where you’ll find loads of opportunities to walk, cycle or go horseback riding, while keeping your eyes peeled for wildlife, including red kites. The market town of Llandovery is 23.5 miles east, offering an abundance of shops and eateries and acting as the gateway to the Brecon Beacons. Alternatively, get the sand between your toes in the popular seaside resort of New Quay (16 miles), where you can hop on a boat trip to see bottlenose dolphins.
