Snuggled on the cusp of the Gwydir Forest Park within easy reach of the coast is the tranquil village of Rowen, the perfect destination for those who love a slice of quintessential charm. This former barn is a romantic bolthole, ideally placed for discovering your surroundings, offering a crackling wood burner at the heart of the home for relaxing evenings snuggled by the hearth.

Step through the stone exterior and light the wood burner on chilly evenings, sinking deep into the sofas with a glass of something delicious and soothing. The inside of the cottage is cosy and welcoming, so you’ll feel right at home. Whip up a feast in the hand-crafted kitchen and then enjoy cosying up to enjoy it. Round off your evening with a soak in the bath, then curl up for a restful night’s sleep in the cheerful bedroom. The enclosed walled garden offers a ring-side seat for sunrise if you’re an early bird and the surrounding views are stunning.

Lace up your boot and venture through the countryside, marvelling at the natural beauty that surrounds the village. Whether you are mountain climbing or cycling with the wind running through your hair, you are bound to have an exciting adventure. Fishing, golf and climbing are available, but you’ll also have the coast within 3 miles for water-based excursions and white-knuckle escapades. Kayaking, canoeing, and even surfing is possible. For those who prefer to keep their feet firmly on dry land, Castle Conwy is 13th-century castle 3 miles away or you also have the National Trust’s Bodnant Gardens within 4 miles too.

A beautifully clean and tidy cottage near the edge of the Snowdonua National Park. The cottage was warm and cosy perfect for 2 people. It is on a working farm so there are people and vehicles about doing their jobs. Ideally placed for Conwy, Llandudno and Bodnant Gardens.

This is a fantastic cottage, beautifully done in an outstanding location. It was well presented throughout, well equipped and provided an excellent base from which to explore North Wales. The village of Rowen is idyllic, with an excellent local pub, all in all the perfect base for a Welsh holiday.

Cefn Cae cottage is situated in the attractive village of Rowan. There were plenty of nice walks and further afield visits to Anglesey and Snowdonia were possible. There is a pub in the village but little else. The cottage is plenty big enough for two people, is well equipped and super clean. Highly recommended.
