Prepare delicious dishes in the kitchen space, then gather around the table. Stay here for a hand or two of cards afterwards before switching on the TV or reading a chapter or so of your books. Follow the stairs down to find a double bedroom, and a super-king-size with zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as a twin instead if discussed at the time of booking. There is also a family bathroom down here. Have breakfast or lunch out in the shared picnic area then take the youngsters over to the barn to play pool or table tennis. There is parking for two cars.
Drive 5 miles to reach the colourful seaside town of Barmouth, with its beach, shops and eateries. Plunge into scenic Snowdonia to go walking or cycling. Spend an afternoon at the Rhaeadr Nantcol Waterfalls, 3.5 miles away, where there are various trails to follow and the very brave can even enjoy a dip in the cold, fresh, mountain water.
