Enjoy a break at this charming barn conversion located on a 7-acre smallholding and rest assured that the whole family will love what’s on offer, including the hot tub hidden in the walled garden. Less than 5 miles away is the sandy beach of Benllech where you can dive into the rockpools in search of life, learn to surf on the waves to simply sit back and soak up the beautiful scenery whilst listening to the tranquil sounds of the water.

Welcoming you into the property is the open-plan living room/kitchen/diner where the original features of stone floors, walls and exposed beams give the space character. Get cosy by the Ironhead wood burner on one of the three leather sofas with your favourite film or book for a relaxing night in. When it’s time to cook up a feast for breakfast, lunch or dinner, the bespoke wooden kitchen offers all you need with the dining table offering a space to gather together to share stories over a home-cooked meal. Venture through to the games room to get competitive on the football table or play a board game for evening entertainment for all ages. Two modern bathrooms sit on the first floor, one with a country style and a freestanding bath for long soaks in the tub, and the other with a relaxing shower where you can wash away the sand. Completing the floor is the first of the bedrooms, a chic double for a restful night’s sleep. Upstairs you’ll find a king-size bedroom with a vaulted ceiling creating a quirky space, as well as a twin room which offers access to the balcony and the final king-size bedroom. Outside, the pretty garden is a fantastic social area with a lawn, patio and walled garden to explore. What’s more, the charcoal BBQ and hot tub ensure you can make the most of sunny weather, dining al fresco and catching the sunset.

Venture into the village of Cemaes (5 miles) and pick up fine products in the shops, or dine out in one of the quaint local eateries. Here you can spend your time watching out for rare birds on the coast, trying your hand at a number of watersports such as surfing, or joining the Anglesey Coast Path for an invigorating walk with far-reaching views over the sea. Take a day trip further inland to Llyn Alaw (5 miles), Anglesey’s largest lake for a relaxing stroll, keeping your eyes peeled for the whimsical wildflowers in the summer which attract an impressive array of wildlife throughout the year.

We had a wonderful, peaceful stay. The working farm added to the experience. The children loved going to look at the cows and sheep. The early morning walks in the surrounding country side and easy access to Anglesey sights all worthwhile.

The barn is a lovely place for a family with little ones and a dog to enjoy a fun filled holiday at Anglesey. The barn is well equipped with everyday items for cooking and washing up. The bedrooms are large enough and comfortable. As it is a barn, the upstairs ceiling is low, but we knew that when we booked and it didnt bother us.
