A magical spot for a solo or couple’s holiday within the Brecon Beacons National Park, this sweet abode is wonderful for an outdoorsy trip of walking, mountain biking or pony trekking. It’s in a convenient location in the charming town of Brecon, with shops, cafes and pubs within a 300-metre radius. This homely one-bedroom property accommodates up to two humans, with one dog also welcome to join you.

This sweet terraced property has a cosy and welcoming lounge with wooden ceiling beams and clean white walls decorated with tasteful artwork. After long days out in the mynydd (mountains), you’ll appreciate sinking into the inviting sofa and, if it’s chilly, sparking up the wood burner for a quiet evening in. Books are available for pre-bed reading, while maps are provided so you can plan the day’s adventures. In the room kitchen, cook up a full English to enjoy at the dining table on lazy mornings. The lawned garden is fantastic for relaxing with your loved one and provides a safe area for your four-legged friend to roam. Prepare summer feasts on the BBQ and sip morning coffee as you appreciate your tranquil surroundings.

Within walking distance, admire Brecon’s Georgian architecture, wander along the tow path and visit local sites like the Royal Welsh Regimental Museum and Brecon’s medieval cathedral (within 0.5 miles). To view the fantastic nearby scenery from a seated position, board a scenic canal cruise along the River Usk for a relaxed day on the water. You’ll have hiking opportunities aplenty nearby, such as the popular route up Pen y Fan (5.5 miles).

I cannot recommend this property more! This was THE sweetest little cottage in a perfect central location and fully equipped with everything you could need. The log burner was a favourite feature and we particularly loved the attention to detail by the owner, with books/ maps for local walks and recommendations to visit nearby businesses. The kitchRead moreen was well equipped and rear garden for dog was fab! A lovely find and support for a small town and local businesses. We would 100% stay here again! Hide

Such a gem of a place, location is 5 mins from town in one direction and the canal in the other, plenty of places nearby to eat and drink. 2 supermarkets in easy distance. The cottage itself was peaceful and cosy, very clean and comfortable and well stocked and laid out kitchen. The host had thought of everything, cant wait to come back!
