Stay in a bespoke barn conversion with ample outdoor space amongst the vibrant greenery of the Forest of Dean. A perfect bolthole for any walker's retreat, this property is surrounded by the beloved Gloucestershire countryside with the Wales-England border just 2 miles and an inviting country pub less than half a mile away. The sunny stone cottage with handsome beams and original features invites four guests to stay, a superb location for reuniting friends or two couples holidaying together. Find plenty of space to relax both indoors and out, either curled up on the sofas or with a sundowner on the patio.

Warm tones, oak furniture and bespoke fittings elevate the space inside to create an authentic home-from-home. On the ground floor, find a kitchen/diner with patio doors leading right out into the garden and views of the Cathedral of the Forest in the distance. Equipped with a generous dining table for sociable mealtimes and a cosy lounge with soft seating and a Smart TV, you’ll love making memories in this delightful space. There’s also a bathroom down here on the ground floor. Take the staircase up to find two bedrooms, a super-king-size and a double, accompanied by an additional WC. Both bedrooms sit beneath charming, vaulted ceilings with skylights to let the natural light in.

Perfect for exploring both English and Welsh destinations, this rural property is just 4.5 miles from the border town of Monmouth which sits across the River Wye (2 miles). From here you can embrace both the Offa’s Dyke Path and the Wye Valley Walk, two extremely popular long-distance routes that showcase the very best scenery of this part of the world. The Wye Valley AONB also provides plenty of other pretty points of interest, including King Arthur’s Cave (8.5 miles) and Goodrich Castle to the north (7.5 miles).

Very characterful and comfortable, very nicely laid out, loos upstairs and down (not en suite but very in character), proper bathroom with shower. Glorious garden with outside seating area for al fresco dining (although table might be a bit small if more than two of you). Lovely peaceful location. Convenient roadside parking in very quiet village. Read moreExcellent village pub an easy stroll away - no need to cook for yourself if you don't want to. Hide
