Perfect for arts lovers - A great bolt-hole in Hay on Wye (of literary festival fame) with the generous added bonus of the arts events at The Globe in Hay included during your stay. So, when your holiday is all about quality-time exploring, and spending as little time as possible in the car, then this lovely cottage is in the perfect location.
Unassuming from the outside, you step into a beautifully transformed interior, with painted floors, rustic linens and Welsh blankets...heaps of comfort, we loved it!
Cross the little porch, perfect for a pooch to dry their paws, into the bright dining room, with stripped wood, farmhouse table, ladder-back chairs and cosy log burning stove, complete with a generous basket of wood. Nip through to the sitting room, with open fireplace, cosy linen sofa and armchair and a big TV and DVD player - great for catching up on those box sets whilst on holiday! There is wi-fi throughout as well.
The kitchen is just as you'd hope. Light, bright and fully equipped with a decent coffee machine in situ! Pop upstairs and you'll find three double bedrooms, simply designed and deeply restful, with Welsh blanket headboards, good quality linen and soft fluffy towels included. There is a generous family bathroom, with roll top bath tub, basin and loo. Please note the stairs are steep and narrow.
Outside, you'll find a private terrace area, with bistro table and a good bike storage area too. Kids will love the huge open lawn set just across the pedestrian lane, in sight from the bistro table and a great space for letting off steam. The Globe at Hay, is a minute away, forget it's there, or make it a key part of the holiday, enjoy the laid back coffee lounge and grab free tickets to any events during your stay....they serve a wicked slice of chocolate brownie too!
Another great find, perfect for up to three couples or a family, we think you'll love it!
