This spacious handcrafted lodge is perfect for couples wanting to get away to enjoy the outdoors finished with a contemporary style and all the comforts you would desire for a night under the stars.

If you’re looking to escape to a romantic rural retreat in south-east Wales, this property is perfect. Under an old oak tree, this charming lodge is small, but perfectly formed. Be at one with nature, as you dine alfresco under the covered terrace or enjoy a spot of stargazing whilst sitting around the roaring fire pit. You can spend lazy mornings sipping coffee, reading a book and watching wildlife from the comfort of your bed, or if you prefer, the terrace. For something a little more strenuous, there are plenty of walks across the unspoilt Welsh countryside from your doorstep.

Despite its secluded position, this lodge has the style and comfort of a contemporary hotel room, with the advantage of stunning countryside views from your bed. Handcrafted, the wooden exterior blends into its natural setting. Inside, there’s an open-plan living space, with a separate shower room to the rear. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you’ll need to cook up a light lunch or an evening meal, which you can eat inside at the breakfast bar or outside on the terrace. The sofa is positioned in front of the TV, with the double bed beyond that. Outside, there is a BBQ and a fire pit for al fresco cooking.

The biggest attraction here is undoubtedly the stunning scenery. The Brecon Beacons National Park lies to the west with its many lakes, waterfalls and caves to discover, as well as its endless routes/trails for walkers and cyclists. For something different, the bustling market town of Abergavenny is 6 miles away, with other towns such as Crickhowell and Raglan, famous for its castle, within 12 miles. To take to the water, head to Goytre Wharf (7 miles) where you can enjoy a number of activities on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.

Beautiful secluded lodge with amazing views but with only a short drive to Abergervenny town it really does have it all. Perfect for a break from the hustle and bustle and when waking up to the fields of sheep on the morning you can't help but smile.
