Escape to this delightful cabin in the Welsh countryside, where you can enjoy complete peace and quiet. Ideal for a couple, this charming lodge sleeps two and comes with its own hot tub. Overlooking a large pond, the one-bedroom abode near Garth in Mid Wales, also welcomes a pair of contented canines who are welcome to bound free in a paddock within the grounds. Days out in the Brecon Beacons National Park, 14 miles away, or Crychan Forest, 7 miles away will also set tails wagging.

Climb the steps into this rural lodge, which sits on land where the owner also lives but benefits from great privacy. Find the accommodation comprises an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/bedroom, with a light, airy ambience and glass doors looking out towards the pond. Relax in here together in the evenings by watching a programme on the TV with Freeview. Cook a romantic dinner for two in the kitchen area then dine outside in the fresh Welsh air on warm days or inside at the table at other times. Find your double bed is the perfect place to retire to at the end of the day and that you also have a modern shower room in the lodge. Sit out on the balcony to gaze out at the scenery or soak in the undercover hot tub to truly relax. There is parking for two cars with the holiday home.

Plan lots of beautiful walks from your front door. Attempt a stretch of the 50-mile Epynt Way from Llangammarch Wells, 2 miles away, or stroll along beside the River Irfon. Venture 5 miles into Builth Wells to browse in independent shops and to dine out. Amble along beside the River Wye here too. Drive to Hay-on-Wye, 24 miles away, to while away an afternoon in the book shops.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Ideal for short break. Very well equipped, comfortable and peaceful. Host was very helpful in providing information especially in terms of where we could walk our dogs locally without upsetting the farmers and sheep! Hot tub fabulous and much appreciated at end of day.

We had a wonderful stay in the cottage with our dog. The cottage is equipped with everything we needed. The location was good, 15 minutes drive from the main town and supermarket. The hot tub was an added bonus and it was lovely for the cold evenings. We will definitely be back in the future. Highly recommend.

Apple Blossom Lodge (as we found it is called when we got there) was perfect for what we wanted. Out of the way down a private lane, with only sheep (& the lovely owners nearby if needed) for company but still well placed to explore the local area. The lodge was clean and well stocked for everyday needs (kettle, toaster, oven etc and a lovely welcoRead moreme pack) It is well maintained & set by a pond that has a small waterfall, always nice to hear running water. The hot tub was a nice bonus for soaking tired muscles at the end of a day exploring. If you want to get away from it all, this (or any other of the 3 lodges owned by the same people) is the perfect place. Hide
