Why not take in Hay-on-Wye for book lovers or Ludlow for food lovers, with local villages hosting smaller folk festivals throughout the year. An enviable landscape for walkers, with rolling meadows and hills to climb with easy access into the Malvern Hills, the Forest of Dean and the Brecon Beacons, this area is steeped in history and has National Trust properties within easy reach.

After taking in the wonders of the cherry tree orchards take a step back in time into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The stylish interior further enhancing the original hand carved barns, the lounge area with soft lighting and colourful furnishings is the perfect space for couples to catch up and reminisce over times gone by or enjoy a good movie, with an open-plan dining area that blends perfectly into the bespoke handmade kitchen area that will bring out the chef in you which is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is also a seperate WC on this floor. At the end of the day climb the wooden stairs where you will find three bedrooms, one king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin on request), with an en-suite shower and WC, another king-size with views onto the open countryside and one single. There is bathroom with shower over the bath and WC on this floor.

Open the doors from the lounge area onto your own private garden with seating area great for dining or soaking up the late summer sun. There is allocated parking for two cars and bicycle storage available.

WALKING & CYCLING: The barn is perfectly placed for walking and exploring the Herefordshire countryside. Head out straight from the farm on one of the waymarked paths or explore a little deeper into the rolling meadows and hills. CASTLES & CULTURE: The local area is steeped in history providing endless opportunity to explore! From striking castles such as Ludlow Castle and Eastnor Castle to scenic National Trust properties and gardens, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

TOUR THE TOWNS: Just a stone’s throw away you’ll stumble across a number of delightful market towns including Ledbury and Leominster, both famed for their Tudor-style high streets and intriguing selection of boutiques and fine eateries. Head a little further and you’ll land yourself in the little town of books, Hay-on-Wye.

A PINT AT THE PUB: Wheelwrights Arms and The Three Horseshoe Inn are the nearest local pubs and are just a walk away! Perfect for enjoying a traditional Sunday lunch or a cold refreshment after a long walk.

SLEEPS: There are three bedrooms. Two have king-size beds, one of which can be separated to form twin beds if you would prefer, this bedroom also benefits from an en-suite bathroom, the third has a single bed. Bed linen is provided for your stay.

RELAXING: The cottage is very warm and fully central heated. Spacious living room with comfortable sofas. There is Wi-Fi throughout.

COOKING & DINING: The barn boasts an open-plan kitchen/living/dining space with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher (there is a freezer available for your use in the shared utility room should you require it). The dining table seats five comfortably and the breakfast bar seats four, perfect for sociable living.

KEEPING CLEAN: There is a bathroom with shower over the bath and WC, one of the king-size bedrooms also has an en-suite bathroom with shower over the bath and WC. You are welcome to use the washing machine in the shared utility room and towels are also provided for your stay.

OUTSIDE: The outside space boasts a private garden with seating, a great spot for dining alfresco, soaking up the last of the sunshine or simply sitting back and admiring the panoramic views over the open valley beyond. Bike storage is available if you fancy heading out for a cycle during your stay. There is parking for two cars.

PETS: One well behaved dog is more than welcome to come and stay.

Sunburst Barn is a great property and provided ample space for 4 adults. Furnishings were extremely comfortable and kitchen facilities were excellent. The cottage was extremely comfortable, very well furnished and beautifully presented. The cherries and cup cakes on arrival were a lovely and welcome touch. Having immediate access to the lake and cherry orchards was a bonus for dog owners. Would thoroughly recommend and hopefully will return.
