Within the fringes of Pencombe village, on an established working fruit farm, you are free to roam the waymarked paths and enjoy a leisurely afternoon. An ideal base for walkers, with easy access into the Malvern Hills, the Forest of Dean and the Brecon Beacons. There are a number of National Trust properties and gardens within easy reach. Close to the Worcestershire border offering access to Leominster and Bromyard, for those looking for something a little busier visit the City of Worcester and Hereford both steeped with history. Why not take in Hay-on-Wye for book lovers or Ludlow for food lovers, with many local villages hosting smaller folk festivals throughout the year.

Make your way across the landscaped grounds and through the traditional front door, the mix of old and new with an eclectic style makes a great first impression, the cosy lounge area with brightly coloured furnishings is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a movie after a day’s exploring, the kitchen/diner is light and spacious with a large table for six that’s sure to become the hub of the barn whilst dinner is prepared. The handcrafted kitchen is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is a WC on this floor. At the end of the day climb the wooden stairs where you will find three bedrooms, one king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin on request), with an en-suite shower and WC, another king-size with views onto the open countryside and one twin. There is also a bathroom with bath and WC on this floor.

Open the doors from the lounge area onto your own private garden with seating area great for dining or soaking up the late summer sun. There is parking for two cars and bicycle storage available.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

WALKING & CYCLING: You are free to roam the waymarked paths straight from the farm or head a little further into the enviable landscapes of the Malvern Hills, the Forest of Dean and the Brecon Beacons. This is an ideal base for both walkers and cyclists due to the expanse of varying rural landscapes right on the doorstep!

CASTLES & CULTURE: For National Trust enthusiasts, there are a number of beautiful properties and gardens all within easy reach. There is a wealth of history to delve into in the local area including Eastnor Castle and Ludlow Castle in Ludbury, Croft Castle in Leominster and Goodrich Castle in Ross-on-Wye to name a few.

TOUR THE TOWNS: The barn is set in the pretty town of Pencombe and is surrounded by great places to explore. From the bustling city scenes of Worcester to the quieter pace of life in the smaller market towns of Leominster, Ludlow, Hay-on-Wye and Ledbury, complete with their bespoke boutique shops, charming tea rooms and quirky eateries.

A PINT AT THE PUB: Wheelwrights Arms and The Three Horseshoe Inn are the nearest local pubs and are just a walk away! Perfect for enjoying a traditional Sunday lunch or a cold refreshment after a long walk.

SLEEPS: There are three bedrooms. Two have king-size beds, one of which can be separated to form twin beds if you would prefer, this bedroom also benefits from an en-suite bathroom, the third has twin beds. Bed linen is provided for your stay.

RELAXING: The cottage is very warm and fully central heated. Spacious living room with comfortable sofas. There is Wi-Fi throughout.

COOKING & DINING: The barn boasts an open-plan kitchen/dining space with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is also a large dining table and chairs to enjoy your evening meals from.

KEEPING CLEAN:

OUTSIDE: The outside space boasts a private garden with seating, a great spot for dining alfresco, soaking up the last of the sunshine or simply sitting back and soaking up the sights across over the countryside. Bike storage is available if you fancy heading out for a cycle during your stay. There is parking for two cars.

PETS: One well behaved dog is more than welcome to come and stay.

We absolutely loved the cottage and the upkeep. Everything from furniture to the amenities, including the property was very high end and up to the standard we expected for it to be! This is a beautiful and well equipped cottage. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we spent a week there as a group of 5 relaxing/eating/walking - if this is your aim for your holiday, then the cottage is perfect. The area is great and lots of footpaths, and a couple of pubs within around 20-30 mins walking - one via a country road, and one oRead morever fields.
