Make a romantic retreat to this exquisite shepherd’s hut set in beautiful scenery within the Brecon Beacons, some 2 miles from the Welsh market town of Talgarth. Escape the hustle and bustle of your daily life by exploring your tranquil surroundings, including the private lake, arboretum and meadowland on your doorstep, or simply relaxing and taking in the views towards the Black Mountains. Plan trips into Hay-on-Wye, 9 miles away, with its many independent shops and bookstores.

Climb the steps up into this cosy, wooden abode, where you and your loved one can enjoy some quality time together. Prepare your meals in the kitchen area with fresh produce, including free locally grown vegetables when in season. Relax on the sofa after your energetic hill climbs and hikes then fold this down to make your double bed. Find the shower room, with WC, is separate from the main shepherd’s hut. Savour the indoor/outdoor living opportunities offered by this bijou retreat. Light the BBQ on balmy evenings and dine out in the fresh air as the sun goes down. Discover there is ample parking at the shepherd’s hut, as well as bicycle storage.

Plan all kinds of exciting adventures through your surroundings. Walk 0.5 miles to Pwll Wrach Woods, where you can explore the 43-acre nature reserve and see its waterfall. This ancient woodland sits on the banks of the River Ennig and is known for its incredible wildflowers. Climb Waun Fach, about 3 miles from the shepherd’s hut. This is the highest mountain in the Black Mountains. Spend time in Talgarth, which is known for its working watermill, cafe and craft centre. Drive 4 miles to the lake at Llangorse to go canoeing, kayaking or horse riding. Venture into Brecon, 8 miles away, to spend time in its shops and eateries.

Beautiful well equipped shepherds hut set in a stunning location with plenty of lovely walks and places to explore in the surrounding area! With no distractions such as internet, TV and music, it was just very peaceful and relaxing. Lovely shepherd's hut in a secluded location. Inside was a real surprise - everything finished to a high standard with some lovely little touches. A very comfortable and cosy stay. Ensuite facilities made it feel even more luxurious. Would definitely recommend.

We loved the peaceful and beautiful location! The owners were so kind and friendly. The shepherd's hut was beautifully clean and well appointed with very tasteful decor. We found some lovely walks nearby . Perfect for a romantic get away or retreat ! The birdsong was amazing.

Bills Hut was very well kitted out with all the essentials. It is in a stunning location with loads of walks on the doorstep. There is access to a lovely lake & gardens & Talgarth is only 3 miles away where there is a well stocked supermarket & other shops.

Great little Shepards hut in a fantastic location up in the black mountains. Im !SELECTED!63 !ENDOFSELECTED!and there was plenty of room for two people inside , lovely a warm and a nice size shower. A lovely place to go back too in the evening after a long day walking and sightseeing. There are some fantastic walks in the area of Talgarth and a lovRead moreely old church to visit. Bill's Shepherds Hut is lovely. It was clean and comfortable, and had every amenity we could need. We prepared all of our meals while we were there, and the small kitchen had everything we needed. It is set in a charming sheep field and close to the various attractions in the Brecon Beacons. A perfect idyllic cosy little hut for a couple with a lovely lil kitchen and en suite shower. The location is fantastic at the foothill of the Black Mountains - tranquil and serene. Loved the view.
