Offering so much more than just a stylish retreat, this delightful cottage brings the chic-est of Scandi style with a mix of classic and contemporary design. Beautiful artwork from a local artist adorn the walls and traditional features such as stone floors and oak beams mingle within the modern colour schemes.

For total well-being, create your own unique stay with a sauna, spa, spa therapies, yoga, guided walks and bike rides. Pilates and ballet classes available to book exclusively with the owner(charges apply). Perched high in the Black Mountains, this is holistic relaxation at its best. The sense of calm is only enhanced by the atmosphere, with spectacular views and a deep, peaceful quietness, bar the sounds of nature. Even the weariest of travellers can kick back for a weekend or snooze away a week.

Enjoy exclusive use of the private sauna (charges apply), envelop yourself in fluffy towels, pad around in hotel style slippers and drink in the views as well as the fresh, clear and reviving on-site spring water. Enjoy the private gardens with use of the recliners and a Weber barbecue.

This gentle spot is nestled on a quiet organic holding that has been inhabited since the Bronze Age.  Steeped in romance and intrigue, with the friendliest of hosts welcoming you to explore the 70 acres, you can uncover ancient springs, medieval paths and tracks directly up into the Black Mountains directly from your door.

Once inside, it's a blissful fusion of considered contemporary style, high comfort, and thoughtful, personal touches.  High ceilings and huge barn doors flood the living space with light, oak beams and large wood burning stove fill the rooms with warmth and the mezzanine and kitchen comes fully equipped.

Once you've spent a morning on the mountain, an afternoon in the Spa or a day out exploring the local market towns, squeezed in a little star gazing, then resting your head has never felt so good. Two beautifully furnished bedrooms, an en-suite, king size master bedroom, plus a twin bedroom with its own bathroom, complete with fluffy towels and toiletries...of course!

Step outside for a choice of private terraces. To one side, a Weber barbecue, large dining table, chairs, and a parasol. The other, laid to lawn, is perfect for children, not forgetting the acres of private farmland you're invited to explore. Shared enclosed garden/lawn space, next to the cottage. Electric vehicle charging point available (charged separately).

For those looking for a place to work from home, and relax when not working, choose Starlight Cottage or Black Hill Barn where the internet connection is super speedy, with a fibre optic connection and speeds of over 350mbps you can rest assured that the Zoom meeting or file transfer will not fail.

This property is all about a unique stay, great service and hands-on local advice and inspiration should you need it.  Arrange exclusive yoga, pilates or ballet classes with your hosts who can also arrange massages or beauty treatments or perhaps you would prefer afternoon tea delivered to your door.  Contact your host in advance of your visit in order to arrange a complete, bespoke experience. Coupled with one of the most breath-taking spots in the Welsh Marches, it is an inspirational location from which to enjoy both the Brecon Beacons National Park, Welsh Borders and Herefordshire.  Stock up at the award winning village shop Hopes, in Longtown for local fayre on the route in, or arrange a welcome pack with the owners - full details available in the owners' welcome email.

This property can also be booked alongside Starlight Cottage (42897)
