GLAMPING TENT IN THE ROLLING MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTRYSIDE
Set beneath the Skirrid Mountain on a small family farm with acres of meadows to explore. A friendly welcome from the owner's alpacas awaits, great for children or sit back and relax.
The market town of Abergavenny is within a 10 minute drive with shops and pubs, or Monmouth can be reached in around 20 minutes. Day trips to see the Mappa Mundi in Hereford, or the 30+ book shops in famous book town Hay on Wye are well worth it too. With the Brecon Beacons National Park and Forest of Dean within easy reach, there's a wealth of great days out and adventure just waiting to be discovered including Monnow Valley and the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Wye Valley. Also there are several Norman Castles within the area, Whitecastle, Grosmont Castle and Skenfrith are three of note. Play facilities: boules, cricket, balls and swingball.
Comprising of THREE safari tents, the accommodation offers NINE bedrooms: 3 king-size, 3 double cabin beds and 3 twins. Lounge/kitchen/diner: with woodburner/stove, electric single hob, sofa and unique double bed in a shed. Outside: large outside space. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen and towels included. Regret no smoking. 1 dog welcome, please note dogs must be kept on a lead. Hot and cold shower powered by the electric boiler. Arrival: 4pm.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

EXPLORE THE HILLS: THe Skirrid Mountain is the easiest to climb and in clear sight from the Safari Tent. Head off further in one direction in to the Brecon Beacons National Park, or the other towards the Monnow Valley and beautiful Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Wye Valley.
SAY HI TO THE ANIMALS: A friendly welcome from the owners alpacas awaits, great for children. There are sheep too on the wider farm.
CASTLES & CULTURE: There are several Norman Castles within the area, Whitecastle, Grosmont Castle and Skenfrith are three of note and there's a lovey cycle ride between the three of them.

BIKING: Bike storage is available, the country was home to the National Road Race just a year ago and there are fabulous road and bike trails in the Brecon Beacons. For keen Strava users, the Tumble is well worth a peddle to the top!
EATING OUT: Located in the heart of Wales new food haven, there is a Michelin star restaurant further up the road and a good country pub in either direction, five minutes drive from the tent too.
SLEEPS 2 - 18: Three great sleeping lodges, 3 proper king-size bedrooms, 3 separate twin bedrooms and 3 double beds in a cupboard (our favourite one of all)! Beautiful bedding and towels provided.
RELAXING: The tents have a proper sitting room area, with leather sofa and coffee table, this extends out onto the deck area, with additional outdoor sofas and chairs. Wood burning stove warms the tent.
COOKING: Proper wooden units with butler sink, a wood burning stove which doubles as the oven, a back up electric single hob, all crockery, cutlery, pots and pans provided.
KEEPING CLEAN: A bathroom with basin and flushing loo, towels and toileteries included. A shower room with hot and cold running water, fuelled by an electric boiler.
OUTSIDE: A huge natural playspace for all ages. Boules, cricket, balls and swingball provided, as well as indoor games.
PETS: One well behaved dog is welcome to come and stay, please note dogs must be kept on a lead. Black Mountain Skies are three exclusive safari tents on the same farm, only one tent accepts a dog.
SECURITY BOND: There is a £150 security deposit managed by the owner.
