Luxury spacious barn with hot tub, set in a 300-acre farm with river and lake near to Llandrindod Wells. Friends and family can enjoy the culture and countryside activities in Mid Wales.

The large barn conversion enjoys an idyllic location, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The area is awash with walks, with the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty just 12 miles from the property, along with the long-distance Offa’s Dyke Path. Enjoy day trips to the spa town of Llandrindod Wells (19 miles), or one of Mid Wales’s many castles. The luxurious holiday home sleeps eight guests, making it perfect for family gatherings and get-togethers with friends. Its open-plan layout lends itself to entertaining, as does the spectacular outdoor area, complete with a hot tub, BBQ, and large, enclosed lawn that’s ideal for children and dogs.

The detached property really does have the wow factor. As you walk in, the open-plan layout creates a feeling of grandeur, with multiple seating areas and places to socialise. Neutral tones and soft lighting are used to create a calm atmosphere. Cook up a storm in the chic kitchen area, to enjoy together around the dining table, before congregating in the cosy lounge area. Here, comfortable seating is arranged around a Smart TV and wood burner-effect electric fire. The four gorgeous bedrooms are located on the first floor, and all have Smart TVs and en-suite facilities. Outside, dine under the stars on your peaceful patio, before cracking open the bubbly and sinking into the hot tub.

Llandrindod Wells Lake makes a lovely day out. Pack a picnic and find a quiet spot on its tranquil shores, before enjoying a circular walk around the water. You can also hire boats to get out on the lake – an activity that’s bound to bring out the competitive streak in everyone, leading to much hilarity! Powis Castle and Garden (23.5 miles) is simply stunning. Wander amongst the fine Italian terrace gardens, admiring the views across the lush Welsh countryside.

We had a wonderful stay at Blue Lins River Barn, thank you! It has everything you can need and more. When first walking in, it has the wow factor with all the space, complimented by a lovely welcome basket. The hot tub is a brilliant size, as is the garden (great to stretch our dog's legs!), and the bedrooms too. Great to all be en-suites and have Read moresmart TVs. The kitchen space is ample, with loads of cupboard space. Family of 5 (8, 4, 2) plus puppy (17 weeks) and flying visit from grandparents Hide

Lovely big barn with large hot tub which is welcome after a walk. Fabulous welsh countryside but need a car to get anywhere- Newtown is nearest at 20 minutes away. Big secure garden for the dog. Overall nice holiday but there could be a few tweaks to make the experience even better with some additional equipment and attention to detail.
