Set within the heart of a vibrant village green within walking distance of the River Wye, offering spacious accommodation finished with an eclectic twist creating the perfect retreat for family and friends.

Step into another world and call this quirky Gothic chapel home. After days exploring the dramatic Brecon Beacons National Park, sit amid provoking artwork, characterful windows and eclectic features and spend sociable evenings enjoying each other’s company. Perfect for guests of all ages, your village green location is just 10 miles from the largest natural lake in South Wales and 5 miles from the literary hub of Hay-on-Wye.

Surround yourself with eclectic style at this gorgeous bolthole which was built as a gothic chapel in 1866. Gather in the kitchen where bright colours, tall ceilings and quirky tiles create a vibrant feel and where you can sit at the breakfast bar to keep your chef company. Doubling up as a gallery and creative space, the walls of this home are adorned with artwork which is rotated twice a year so your eyes are in for a real treat. The artwork brilliantly complements the rich colours and textures which flow from room to room and invite you to get comfortable with family and friends. After a delicious dinner and a drink outside with views of the village green, climb one of two staircases to reach the four first-floor bedrooms, decorated in cool, colourful tones and patterns, with beautiful feature windows letting natural light flood inside.

With so much to explore, waste no time in getting out and about. For breathtaking, panoramic views to reward you after an exerting climb, travel 20 miles into the heart of the National Park and summit the tallest peak in South Wales, Pen-y-Fan. For days filled with activity and waterside wanders, visit Llangorse Lake and its activity centre (9.5 miles), great for entertaining young guests. Make a splash and hire canoes in local Glasbury, before paddling to Hay-on-Wye.

We had a perfect stay at the Chapel for our friends hen weekend. The lovely pictures do not do this place justice - Graham and Matthew have a created a beautiful space, marrying the traditional charm of the chapel with their boho style beautifully. We had everything we needed for cooking/cleaning, and the additional fridge was a bonus with all the Read moreProsecco bottles which somehow fell into our cases! Great location for outdoor activities and exploring the Brecon Beacons too. Highly recommended. :) Hide

The house was as we expected and perfect for our needs. We had a lovely time and the hosts were really helpful and friendly. My only recommendation would be a note on the boiling tap in the kitchen. A couple of my party thought it was just the hot tap and scalded their fingers. Other than that it is a superb, quirky, comfortable and fun place. The Read morelocal pub does excellent food as well! The chapel was a really interesting building and we felt at home immediately. We loved all the artwork and books. The beds were comfortable and the space was perfect for eight adults and our dog. We would definitely stay here again, we still have so much of the region to explore and this was the perfect base for a walking holiday.

Fabulous chapel conversion with 'quirky' display of art collections. Spacious but cosy and very well-equipped. Excellent for a larger group of family and friends, in an excellent position both for Brecon Beacons National Park, River Wye and local services, with a great pub round the corner. The owners were very helpful in checking that everything wRead moreas 'just so.' We thoroughly enjoyed it. Hide

Stunning accommodation, the Chapel was everything that we could have wished for, welcome basket on arrival, the size of the place was enormous, plenty of room for our family holiday and the chapel felt very homely everything we could have wanted.
