Property code: 85643

Make your romantic retreat to this gorgeous abode in Twyford, 4 miles from Hereford, and treat yourselves to the best of both the Welsh and English countryside. Set close to the border between the two countries, the stylish, one-bedroom annex makes an idyllic getaway for a couple. Welcoming two dogs as well as two guests, the impressive property, which adjoins a farmhouse, benefits from countryside views. Venture 3 miles to find yourselves in the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty or head 16 miles to the edge of the beautiful Brecon Beacons in Wales.

Wander into this capacious holiday home, with its high-ceilinged, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Pull back the bi-folding doors on warm days to bring the outside right in; light the contemporary-style wood burner on chilly days to bring a cosy glow to the space. Find a movie to watch together on the TV then head through to the kitchen space to prepare a romantic dinner for two. As day turns to night, climb the stairs up to the glass-fronted mezzanine level, where your king-size bed is situated. Wake up to indulge in a refreshing shower then make your way down to prepare breakfast to set you both up for the day. Dine outside on the patio when the weather is fine. Discover there is space at the annex to store your cycles and that there is parking for one car.

Venture out on walks and cycle rides through the surrounding countryside. Plan a trip to see the National Trust’s enchanting, riverside Weir Garden, 9 miles away, or the iron age Capler Camp Hillfort, in picturesque surroundings, about 10 miles away. Have a day trip to Hay-on-Wye, 23 miles away, with its colourful bookshops, galleries and cafes and pubs. Go canoeing on the River Wye while you are here.

Really loved the stay, the owners were very accommodating. The location is great and peaceful, very cosy and lovely walks really close by. Sadly couldnt use the hot tub so I would enquire ahead of time for this.

This barn conversion is just lovely to stay in. Its completely off the beaten track, but only 10mins into Hereford centre itself. Idyllic location for a peaceful, relaxing break. Beautiful country scenery, great for walks or travelling out to the surrounding towns and villages. Hosts were very kind and friendly but not intrusive. And the hot tub is a must if you get the opportunity.

Beautiful quiet location, perfect for unwinding. The owners were really lovely, there if you needed them but equally gave you space. We had no issues with no enclosed garden. We found the property via Pets at Home dog friendly holidays, so it's worth being really clear that there is no private outdoor space here. Excellent quality finished annexe with a very comfortable sofa and bed! We found the location just right for being away from the hustle and bustle but only a short drive to get to where we needed. Plenty of space inside and although the hosts are nearby they were very welcoming and not intrusive at all. Would definitely recommend!
