Retreat to this serene haven for a trip to remember with fishing and canoeing on site and a woodland of chestnut and rowan trees all around. It’s an enchanting holiday let that allows guests to relax and get back to nature.

Step into a fairy tale where trees tower above your head and the River Wye winds nearby. Surrounded by nature yet less than a mile from the vibrant literary haunt of Hay-on-Wye, a glamping getaway at this striking pod can be filled with wandering, water sports and wood burner chills. Perfect for a romantic retreat or a trip with friends, settle beneath the geometric structure and make yourself at home.

Nestled under the forest’s canopy, step up to this gorgeous lodge which is bursting with tranquil hues and handfuls of charm; if you relax by the sliding doors, you’ll almost feel as though you’re outside. Transform the space into a snug haven by firing up the wood burner which gives you the warm welcome home you need after adventurous days in the great outdoors. Fill the kettle and wait for its whistle before pouring yourself a warming mug of tea and settling on the sofa or continue your time in the fresh air and head outside for a sizzling BBQ feast. When you’ve enjoyed a relaxing evening watching the wildlife pass by, choose from one of two bedrooms and let your head hit the pillow for a peaceful sleep.

Close to many well-trodden trails and mountain bike tracks, explore on foot with your pup by your side or take to two wheels. Follow the Wye Valley Walk or the Offa’s Dyke Path or simply wander the streets of Hay-on-Wye and browse the abundance of renowned bookshops. A 6-mile trip will take you to Hay Bluff, a hill on the northern tip of the Black Mountains where panoramic views await. Settle down on the shingle beach at The Warren which is perfect for a picnic, or hire a canoe in Hay-on-Wye and paddle 5.5 miles to the village of Glasbury.

Fabulous cosy hut hidden in the woods. We loved it. Once, we heated up the space with electric heater and fire, it stayed cosy warm for the next three days. A wonderful place for a long weekend in a great location. You can walk into Hay on Wye in about 15 minutes. Bring a torch - it is a dark walk back at night.

Really comfortable little Cocoon to stay in. Was perfect for us two. To have further people in you would need to be close. Great to get away from life, very comfortable bed, extremely powerful shower which was nice as wasn't expected. Everything in kitchen to cook great meals.
