Set in the historic market town of Corwen, this beautifully renovated Grade II-listed property makes a wonderful retreat for up to eight guests. Dating back to 1871, this former police station features a fantastic family games room, a warming wood burner, bubbling hot tub and original prison bars, providing quirky and inviting accommodation for larger families and groups of friends. Perfect for exploring the Dee Valley, this spacious property makes a great getaway for nature lovers, walkers, cyclists and water sports fans experiencing this breathtaking area.

Entering through the original barred gate, the wide cell corridor leads guests through to the welcoming lounge/diner. With a Smart TV and wood burner, the lounge makes a great spot for chatting or watching a movie. After cooking some of your favourite dishes in the stylish kitchen, you can all get together to tuck in around the sociable dining table. After dinner, you can head into the games room which has a Pac Man arcade game and a football table. When it’s time for bed, the property offers four super-king-size bedrooms to choose between. The property also has a pretty family bathroom, a handy wet room and a separate shower room. Outside, the gated courtyard garden is enclosed by Welsh stone walls and has a soothing hot tub, feature lighting and a BBQ. Formerly used for prisoners’ daily exercise, the courtyard now provides a relaxing space to unwind and dine alfresco. Corwen has a range of pubs and restaurants and makes a great base for exploring a beautiful part of the Dee Valley. Nearby Llangollen (10 miles) is steeped in history, and there are plenty of opportunities for long walks, fishing or journeying by steam train. Corwen Old Police Station is one of the loveliest, best equipped places we have stayed in. The owners have thought of everything and more. The property is dog friendly and there are plenty of dog friendly activities and places to eat nearby.

Amazing property in a lovely village. Hot tub was brilliant as was the games room. Spotlessly clean everywhere and had everything we needed during our stay. Hosts were only next door too so no issues if we needed anything else. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice break away.

We loved staying at COPS. A perfect combination of quirky and comfortable. The original features (jail bars/doors) added great fun. The games room and hot tub was utilized every day.
