Peacefully tucked away within the grounds of a private estate, this stylish coach house nestles in the heart of the Cheshire countryside and is a perfect base for exploring this picturesque area.

Discover North Wales from this romantic former coach house for two, set in beautiful, landscaped gardens, approximately 7 miles from Chester. Sleeping two guests, the one-bedroom, split-level apartment makes a superb retreat for a couple. Explore the area on foot, venture up to the North Wales coast, or discover historic Chester, which was founded as a Roman fortress in the first century AD. Climb the stairs up to this holiday home, set on the first floor of the building and still retaining character features, including beams and porthole windows. Wander inside to find yourselves in the kitchen/diner. Put the kettle on then pull a chair up to the table and relax for a while after your busy day. Prepare a delicious dinner for two, dine together in style then spend your evening in the lounge. Choose a film to watch on the TV or DVD or read your book. There’s a sofa bed in here too. Have a hot shower before turning in and heading through to the main bedroom, with its king-size bed, where you can lounge around in the morning, watching TV if you choose. Soak up the sunshine on your private patio over your first cup of coffee of the day and gaze out across the grounds, which are shared with the owner. Light the BBQ out here too in the evening to grill your supper in the fresh air. Find parking for two cars at the coach house. Head 7 miles into Chester to see its city walls, the oldest racecourse and the largest Roman amphitheatre in Britain, plus a 1,000-year-old cathedral with medieval carvings. Visit Wrexham, 8 miles away, to potter in the market town, go shopping and dine out. Drive 22 miles to spend time on the sandy beach at Talacre.

Really impressive secluded cottage with a thoughtfully created interior, the decor seemed to have a personal touch. The management of the property was first class and we could not have hoped for more.

What a lovely apartment in a pretty setting! Not recommended for those with mobility issues due to the stairs but a wonderfully appointed, stunning, quiet and tranquil place to stay and explore the area. With two great places to eat nearby and a village shop what more would you need!
