Children are welcome to play in the owner’s garden, which has a play area and trampoline.

Pull on your hiking boots and set out on foot to explore the beautiful Brecon Beacons. Just 0.5 miles from the property you can join the picturesque route to the summit of Pen y Fan, the highest mountain in southern Britain with some of the most spectacular views in the whole of the national park. The bustling market town of Brecon (2 miles) is packed with independent shops and stunning Georgian architecture. Head to the Canal Basin – the start of the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal – where you can hire a canal boat to explore the picturesque countryside.

The cottage was lovely, just right for the 3 of us. The kitchen was well equipped, the log fire & under floor kept us plenty warm enough, during a chilly November week. The owners are lovely & friendly, happy to help if we had any questions & the brownies & fresh bread which were part of the welcome pack were delicious. We would definitely go back Read moreif we get a chance. Hide

The rustic cottage is set right in the national park very close to pen-y-fan. Road leading to the cottage can be a little scary especially meeting something coming the other way.

Lovely cottage in quiet location (approached by narrow lanes with passing places) but not too far from Brecon. Owners friendly and welcome pack of freshly baked bread and home made brownies was a treat. Good centre for the area.
