A superbly stylish and luxurious cottage on the southern flanks of the Brecon Beacons National Park, perfectly placed to enjoy the magnificent Welsh landscape.

Experience peace and solitude in the heart of the Welsh countryside, staying in a cottage that’s surrounded by woodland and mere miles from the Brecon Beacons. Happily sleeping four guests, this lovingly renovated property promises to tick all of your boxes for an adventure-filled stay. It’s paired with an additional property next door which makes it an ideal choice for two families holidaying together. Make use of the shared courtyard garden for lazy summer evenings spent lounging alfresco.

Wonderfully traditional throughout, this converted cottage features plenty of quirky features including high vaulted ceilings and original oak beams. The heart of this house is the spacious family kitchen. This bright and cheerful room comes equipped with a Rangemaster oven and matching royal blue tiles, a charming space for preparing meals and sitting down together. Similarly bright and spacious is the lounge room with cushy sofas and a warming wood burner, the perfect place to curl up on cold nights in. As day turns to night you’ll find solitude in two double bedrooms, one downstairs with an en-suite shower room and the other on the first floor. Here you will also find the family bathroom with a bath to enjoy a soak with bubbles and a separate shower.

Step outside to find woodland walks immediately accessible from the garden, venturing out to find adventure on foot or two wheels. Should you want to head a little further you’ll find Wales’ iconic Brecon Beacons National Park just 2 miles from home. Discover Waterfall Country with the Four Waterfalls Walk (16 miles) or head west to explore the fascinating Carreg Cennen Castle (11.5 miles). An ever-popular day out is spent at the National Showcaves Centre just 9 miles from home, whilst those who prefer the hustle and bustle of city life will no doubt embrace a trip to Swansea (14.5 miles).

The cottage we stayed in ,was the two bedroom. We loved it, and the host was brilliant , explaining everything. The roads leading to the property are narrow, and a steep climb, but set in a very peaceful setting, so if you like quiet surrounded be trees, you could walk to the pub, but it is a steep climb back. Would we book again, most certainly. YRead moreou need a car. We had a truly lovely week there. Hide
