Enjoy a getaway to this stylish, modern holiday home set in magical North Wales. Nestled in 3 acres of land, the unusual, one-bedroom retreat makes a magical couple’s bolthole and takes in far-reaching mountain views from its position at Tyn-y-Groes, 4 miles from Conwy. Take two happy hounds with you too if you choose, to accompany you on picturesque walks through the Snowdonia National Park, strolls beside the River Conwy and trips to the scenic Welsh coast.

Enter this attractive holiday home, with its sedum roof, to discover plenty of airy, modern living space where you can both unwind in style. Prepare delicious dinners for two in the well-equipped kitchen then lay the table for a special meal together. Cuddle up on the sofa to watch a film on the TV or simply gaze out at the mountain vistas. The lodge includes a sumptuous double bedroom and beautiful bathroom, with a free-standing bath. Sizzle your supper outside on the BBQ on warm evenings and enjoy a glass of chilled wine as you wait. Find plenty of parking at this Welsh holiday home, together with space for bikes, canoes and other outdoor equipment.

Spend time at the beach in Conwy or pottering around the shops and finding places for eating out in the town. Visit the historic 13th-century castle and see the house reputed to be the smallest in Britain. Head to the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno, 7.5 miles away, where you can walk along the pier, swim in the sea and picnic on the sand. Visit the National Trust’s Bodnant Garden, 4 miles away, near Tal-y-Cafn, with its wonderful views out over the Conwy Valley and towards the distant Carneddau Mountains. Drive 17 miles along the coast to Aber Falls in Snowdonia and enjoy the spectacular seascapes as you go.

A great cottage on a good site with easy access to all areas. We went in November and the field opposite our cottage was waterlogged so we couldn't walk our dog on that, but I image in good weather it would have been perfect. The cottage was well equipped with everything you might need and was lovely and warm. It was in easy access to Conwy and lotRead mores of other interesting places. Again in the good weather would be great to sit outside and use the bbq. All in all a fantastic place. Hide

Damselfly Lodge is very comfortable and very conveniently placed to explore the local area. Our stay was at the end of the season and presumably will be restocked to account for missing cutlery and crockery. One or two safety features could be improved to make it safer for older visitors.
