PERFECT FOR A HONEYMOON RETREAT FOR THE PERFECT ROMANTIC STAY
Located on a small working farm, this peaceful location will be hard to leave, but if you feel the need to venture out, you have a huge choice of local walking to enjoy with simple access to the Black Mountains and slightly further afield into the Brecon Beacons National Park. The local village is walkable, well served with traditional inns and village shop brimming with regional produce and locally baked bread. Explore Herefordshire's market towns with regular farmers markets and the world famous Hay on Wye literary festival, across the Welsh border you will find an area steeped in history with some of Europe's finest surviving castles. 13th century Grosmont and 12th century and Whitecastle are close by. Raglan and Abergavenny Castles are set against the spectacular backdrop of Offa’s Dyke.
Leave your car and take a short stroll past wooded banks and into a wooded Elysium. This cedar-clad shepherds hut offers an open-plan /kitchen/diner sleeping area. Comfortable fire-side seating with coloured cushions to relax in front of the wood burner, and, for a simple supper, a two-burner gas hob sits within sympathetic wooden work tops. For a peaceful night's sleep step up into the built in double bed with views onto the woodland. There is a shower room with shower and WC.
Wake up with nature and enjoy breakfast overlooking sheep in the fields, a table and chairs on the stone terrace outside the hut, surrounded with mature woodland. Further down the garden and perfect for late summer evenings is a fire pit and comfortable seating, or simply fire up the wood-fuelled hot tub and relax under the stars. There is off-road parking for two cars and you are welcome to bring 2 dogs with you at no additional charge.
